Found the cure for mine.............
Traded in on a new Ford F150 Lariat FX4. Got a heckuva deal of almost $15k off and gave me a pretty decent trade on my Ram. Bought it the day we headed out for an almost 3 week vacation and did not want it ruined by that dam# sound.
I took mine to Lubbock to another dealership. Did not even fool with where I bought it again. They repaired all the recalls, replaced front brakes and calipers (had squealed since 1st month I had it and the original dealership 1st said were just dirty and put atop squeal, then next time...
Service record? My dealership never gave me a copy the second time they had it. I was so pi$$ed when I picked it up that I didn't think to ask for it. The 1st time when they had it over month, there was no mention of it. Probably their way of saying "He never told us.". There were a couple of...
When I talked on phone to RamCares, she had no clue what I was talking about. Left mine at dealership in Lubbock last Sat since the techs at the place I bought mine don't know "come here from sic 'em" when it came to fixing anything on my truck.
Why can't Chrysler/Dodge engineers come up with a fix????. It's obvious with so many having the same problems, dealerships don't have a clue and the sales dept/ management could care less. They've made their money off it.
Well today was another WINDY day out here in W TX. Truck was howling as we started home from seeing our son and his family. I tapped the button to let the window down just a bit (maybe 1/16"). Not enough for wind to come in but the sound quit. So maybe for mine it's just the seal around front...
I still have issues and since the dealership worked on in in early April, it is WORSE. Have an appointment at another dealer next week. With all the people with this, you would think Chrysler/Dodge would actually have a recall. I can't decide to file with the state of TX under the Lemon law...
Sounds just like one I found to trade for. Will take it out to test drive on a windy today (today would be great if I could : 35-45 mph sustained winds).
Dang, now I'm worried about trading for another IF they finally get right on $$$. The Laramie I'm looking at is a"Sport" model with different hood. I did drive a base Longhorn they loaned me. It did not make a single sound in strong winds they days I drove it. I did enquire about a new Ford...
Picked mine up Friday and they still have not taken care of the sound. Nor the squealing brakes they say they fixed. (2nd stint at the dealer, Nov 26-Dec 31 and Mar 26-April 5). Tired of incompetence myself. Was wanting to trade out but if you're having issues after trading, maybe I need to...
I am going over to the dealer tomorrow since they have had it 10 days now with trial and error not working. Will show them the fix from Maryland and see. GM has been nice giving me a loaner but hate driving a brand new truck that is not mine. By the way, its Lonestar edition and NO WIND noise...
Went in today. Salesman I bought from knows exactly the sound. Experienced it with one of the managers when they drove his on a windy day. They have no clue what it is. So back to square 1.
I keep getting the run around. I told the dealer over the phone, now that I'm on spring break I have time to come and meet face to face. And if I am the only with this issue as they claim, then I must have a Lemon and need to file under the Texas Lemon Law. Probably won't have any effect on...
When I fold my mirrors in, the chirping sound diminish but not completely. Recieved a recall notice in mail and was hoping it was for this. Nope, something about the 12v wiring.
Would love to know when someone actually gets theirs fixed and what the issue really is. Dealer had my '19 Ram over a month and still terrible wind noise. They keep passing the buck, so they have no clue. Ticks me off I buy a $50k Laramie I cannot enjoy
Would like to know when someone actually gets their 2019 Ram fixed from wind noise. Dealer out here thinks I'm just making it up. This after they had it for over a month. Windy days in W Tx is norm. Wind noise with a chirping, squealing sound on a $50k Laramie is not!
