I took my 2021 in today. Had an appointment and spent a total of about 45 minutes at the dealership. Mine just required an inspection, no adjustment needed. I was just wanting to get my Ram off the recall list. Mission accomplished.
When I lived a bit further north the Lowe’s etc. sold sand in long, skinny bags, 50 pounds each. I always bought four and arranged them around the rear wheels. They made a big difference. If you get stuck, pouring some of the sand on the ice/snow might help too. Come Spring I just poured them in...
Did you get less than ideal mileage in your previous vehicle? I live in the DFW area and traffic is a bear, two roundabouts and a traffic light just to get out of my neighborhood. My mileage got a little better after a couple thousand miles, before that I hardly ever saw the “ECO” light. I...
I did not want ESS, just a traditional V8, or as close as I could get. I would prefer that my engine run on all 8 cylinders all the time. I would prefer not to have the ECO mode but it wasn’t an option.
My garage was advertised as 20’ deep but in reality it is just 19’6”. I purchased a quad cab long bed because it’s overall length is shorter than the crew cab short bed. I have a tennis ball on a string to help pulling in. I’m fine with the 7’ door, no plans for larger tires of a lift kit.
Mine just expired. I’m going to give it a few days to see if I miss it. Thing is, I’m not driving near as much as I used to. I like Sirius but despise they they go to market. Huge advertised prices with huge discounts if you take the bait, subject to change daily. At this time will they let you...
My garage is really tight. I went with a 6’4” quad cab because it is shorter overall than the 5’7” crew cab. I don’t need a back seat, would have considered a standard cab if available.
Have you talked to anyone At the dealership other than the service department? You might contact the sales manager or even your sales guy. Dealerships these days are very concerned about online reviews. Without threatening you might suggest a very negative review(s).
I used to enjoy vanity plates but they have gotten too expensive for my blood.
I do have a story to tell, best plate ever.
I purchased a 1928 Model A Ford. When I went to the tag office to register it, everything was going as it should. Then the lady that was waiting on me said ”just a sec”...
I’m not a Ford vs GM vs Mopar guy, more like Domestic vs Import. I have my Ram since April and like it a lot. Previous truck was a GMC and a Ford before that. I’m old school and not too keen on tiny turbocharged engines in full size trucks. I wanted a V8 without the engine start/stop technology...
I’ve had Dee Zee bedmats in my last three trucks. Prefect for my needs, I don’t do ant heavy hauling and they keep items from sliding around while protecting the bed. I got the right model number from the Dee Zee sight then ordered from Amazon.
Bit of a thread drift but related. We recently purchased a recliner. Found out the one we liked and arranged pick up time. When I went to pay the bill there was a $75 charge for “fabric protection plan”. They told me they did that on all furniture as soon as it came in and couldn’t reverse the...
Just me, but in real world city driving I don‘t think there is much difference. 6th gear is 1:1, 7th and 8th are overdrive. Stands to reason that the 3.92 will spend more time in the higher gears.
No etorque, just the standard 5.7. I should have been a little more specific. I’m using a battery tender, not a trickle charger per se, 1.25 amp. It’s the IBS that I’m not familiar with.
For a number of reasons I’m driving my Ram very little right now, sometimes it will set for several days. Temporary situation. Anyhow, looking back to my motorcycle days when most riding was on the weekends, I have been putting a trickle charger on my Ram every couple of weeks. I would...
