What did you do to your Ram today???

Added supplemental backup lights. Used the Curt 58564 trailer adapter along with 5 pin flat male harness connector tied to both lights. Same lights I used on my 21 Rebel, however, for this install cut an opening in the bumper bezels to fit the lights (similar to what another forum member did)...

What did you do to your Ram today???

After several years with an assortment of electrical gremlins in my 21 Rebel, I came to the conclusion that battery condition is likely a significant factor. Particularly gremlins that seem to suddenly appear/disappear. The Rebel also had a parasitic drain about 5-6 times the 30mA threshold...

2026 Limited vs. 2026 Rebel Purchase?

Had similar debate before I bought the RebelX. Not a big offroader, but much prefer the Rebel styling with the lower paint stripe option. Didn't envision much use for the 4x4, but you never know. Last weekend a clueless Amazon delivery truck got stuck on a steep dirt access road (wrong way)...

For those of us with e-lockers, some pix of the rear axle harness damage would be useful. TIA.

'21 Ram 1500 Limited Numerous Problems, No Resolution

Annoy the India outsourced customer support reps until they eventually elevate you to Ram Customer Retention in Michigan. From my recent 3 month experience waiting for a part for a 21 Rebel, this seems to be the top of the Ram customer support pyramid. Had to penetrate 2-3 levels of India...

Looking at a 2025 Ram Laramie tomorrow.

5 months on RebelX, one issue, bad trailer brake module. No biggy, just annoying need service warning at startup. Love the truck. One thing I've learned with this truck and previous 21 RAM, best to keep them on a trickle charger if infrequent driver. Marginal battery condition seems to play...

    2026 HEMI or Hurricane?

Previous truck was 21 Rebel with ED. Great truck, 25mpg, until one day the electronic shift module failed. Took RAM 3 months to find/make one. By that time I had decided to get a new truck. The RebelX Hurricane SO has one flaw, with the radio on, I cannot hear it start. Remarkably quiet...

What did you do to your Ram today???

Now that I'm well into the golden years, I've discovered DIY replacing standard Group 26/27 batteries (~30/50lbs) is a lower back wakeup call. Even worse Odyssey Group 27 batteries (we use in our older mopars) weigh nearly 70lbs. There's all manner of lifting tools which don't really reduce...

    Fire extinguisher project

Carry H3R Halguard extinguishers in our 2 older mopars, so decided to put one in the Rebel. The H3R in the Roadrunner was used once to put out fire caused by gas line leak onto intake manifold. The 440-6 engine has 3 carbs and multiple gas line connections. The Halguard contains a...

    Wild Electrical issues fixed

I'm on my second 5th gen DT. The first, 2021 Rebel, was plagued by intermittent electrical gremlins. They would come/go randomly, no apparent pattern. On a hunch, did a current draw at rest test and discovered a parasitic drain, fluctuating around 80ma. Precise parasitic specs vary, but best...

    Retrofitting the 33 gallon tank

I got used to the 33 in my previous 2021, with the diesel, a range of over 800mi. Average about 19mpg with the SO, so an extra 140mi with the 33, another 2hrs of driving. It's obviously physically doable given that 2025s have the 33. As you note, new tank, strap, some fuel lines, and 33 skid...

    Retrofitting the 33 gallon tank

Has anyone done this swap on a 2025 1500? Dealer claims they can't do it.

Does anyone like the new 2025+ tow mirrors?

Drove a 25 Rebel with tow mirrors while shopping for current truck. Didn't like them at all. For me, huge blind spot. I do tow (car carrier) occasionally, but the blind spot wasn't worth the larger, extendable tow mirrors.

Carbon Fiber Steering Wheel for 2025?

Has anyone replaced their 2025 steering wheel with a customized carbon fiber wheel like these guys sell, advertised for 2019-2025?... 2019-2025+ Ram 1500 2500 HD Custom Carbon Fiber Steering Wheel Removed my RebelX steering wheel to track down an electrical gremlin. Noticed the 2025 center...

Hurricane oil change procedure with no dip stick

Good option to stay in the warranty zone. Red Line HP and Amsoil SS are generally considered better in viscosity and shearing resistance, meet the API-SP and MS-6395 requirements, however, neither has the API starburst trademark - required per the owners manual for SO/HO.

2025 Ram 1500 Current Owners - Discussion, Feedback, and Problems

I've just completed a nearly 3 month taffypull with Ram customer service. An electronic shifter module that failed and prevented the truck from shifting out of park. There are probably a dozen, maybe two, variations of this module. Mine was on back order with no ETA. The dealer was...

AMP power steps: 2025 1500 Crewcab SST

Attempted to install pre-2025 version of AR Powersteps with 2025 electronic parts, harness, controller, OBD plug. Could not get it to work. Installed 2025 version (76364-01A) on my RebelX. As others, steps ran backwards. Reversed the 2 motor connector lines and steps work perfect.

2025 RAM 1500 Parasitic Battery Drain

Recent adventure with 21 Rebel under extended warranty. You basically have to annoy Ram customer support, until they advance you to the next level. In my case it was 2 levels, non-native English speakers, likely offshore contractors. Hard to understand, so did most comms on email. Level 2...
