Well i have been trying for about 3 months to install nav in my 2019 ram bighorn. My truck did not have nav already in as to upgrade. After weeks of trying different modules buying a 12.1 display. Getting an LVDS cable and finally bringing in the dealer. Myself the ser mgr and 3 tects spent all...
I remember my first experience with a g m ignition module and computer in 1975. Getting the codes from cars. Along comes someone who figured out how to take a paper clip short out the computer watch the engine and count flashes. Hah codes. It will all be figured out by someone.
Yes i am aware of this also. No matter what kind of protection auto makers use, someone always finds a way to bypass it. I have also spoke to infortainment. Not sure who is aware but several things such as heat&a/c, several lighting, signal lights, and several others work thru ram radio. I found...
What i know is if the truck did not come with nav then there is no sales code in the vin to support nav. When you try to install the radio know as a module, it will not work without dealer help. I find this to be the case on any electrical option you install. If you install a navigation module...
No only by salesman. I knew there would be questions about why i did not look closer. The first new ram i bought was a 2014. It did not have nav. It also had a small 3.5" screen. Traded it in 2016 for new ram. It had nav and an 8.4 touchscreen as does the one i have now. So i just thought...
Mine is a rare story. When i bought my truck it was advertised with nav. When i got home there was none. I did not make a stink because the salesman is a friend. I seen the 8.4 touchscreen and assumed nav because my 2016 was like that. After trying to not be able to install without dealer...
Hey guys this is for Ram owners doing uconnect upgrades. If you do not already have nav in your truck (such as bighorn) it ia very hard to upgrade. I bought 12.1 display module and lvds cable. And still would not work. It has to be programed to truck with sales code by dealer. Dealships will not...
Hey guys, thanks for all the input. Been fooling with all this for around two months. Factoryradio advertises module to fit both the 8.4 and the 12.1. Maybe so. I can't say for sure. What i can say is i tried the ad twice, with a 12.1 display. The first time i was missing the LVDS cable. It is...
Thats what im thinking. They advertise this module i have to work on both. I am going to do a hard computer reset in the morning. Will update if it works.
I was hoping to give some good advise instead of still looking for some. I have a 2019 Ram Bighorn with uconnect 8.4c no-navi. I am trying to install navi with 12.1 display. Bought new module #68307655AD from Factoryradioparts. Supposed to work on 8.4 and 12.1. Bought 12.1 display from...
It should work if you 8.4 already had nav. (i think) With the price you paid you must have got yours fron the same place i did. I will be installing mine later today if you want to wait and check back.
I had to look for a LVDS cable that plugs the module to the display. Supposed to have it tomorrow and will install everything then. Everything is supposed to work then. I will post what i come up with because i am willing to help anyone. It's a long story but i bought this truck being told it...
Type in part num 68307655AD then select Factoryradioparts Cheapest module comes with code . Plugs in your truck should plug right in. Call this number (313)207-1661 and he has 12.1 display at cheapest price.
If your truck already has nav then thr lvds cable should be there. This cable connects module to display and finding one is very hard. I would suggest try whoever sold you the display
