    Eco Diesel in cold weather?

I haven't this year. I did last year, but wanted to see if there was any noticeable difference this year. I haven't had any issues with the cold causing any kind of problems. Started up without any issues every morning.

    Eco Diesel in cold weather?

Never had a problem through 2 winters in Central WI. This last winter I never bothered with the grill cover and only noticed about a 5 degree difference from summer Temps for oil and coolant, so I probably won't bother putting that on anymore either. For reference I've put on almost 8000 miles...

What your mileage on your ecodiesel?

52,250 miles in 19 months. Lifetime average per Fuelly is 27.3 mpg. Some long trips, some short trips and Wisconsin winters all mixed in there. Very happy with the truck thus far, only regular maintenance and recalls. If the price difference between gas and diesel stays like it is now in my...

    2021 eco diesel gas mileage

After a little over 1 year (purchased 3/17/21) and 36000 miles my fuelly average is right at 27 mpg. Mostly back highway for commute. Will have a longer trip coming up in a week. It was higher before the winter blend, cold Temps and much more idle time. Pretty happy with that. Not happy...

    2021 eco diesel gas mileage

Nearly 12000 miles since March 17th, 2021 Big Horn 3.21 and I'm averaging 27.6. Last fuel up was 28.7. Right now diesel is less than gas at most stations near me so I'm really enjoying this mileage.

    Some Real World MPG Numbers

Loving the mileage since switching back to summer fuel. Truck was new middle of March.

My Gen 3 just keeps impressing me more and more

Just over 30 days (took possession March 17th) and now just under 3500 miles I'm loving this engine. 2021 Big Horn 4x4 with 3.21 rear end and I'm averaging 26.3 so far tracked on fuelly. I had a 2018 F150 with the 2.7 before this and only managed to average 19 with that over 3 years. The...

    TSB 18-008-20 throttle lag

Funny, today I drove past a gas station where the regular was $2.84 and diesel was$2.86. Per fuelly after my first two fill ups I'm averaging 26.2. It's mainly 55 speed limit highways but it's been windy as all get out around here lately which hasn't helped. I'm pretty happy compared to my...

    TSB 18-008-20 throttle lag

I recently got my ecodiesel and I haven't experienced any of the turbo lag (no more than any other turbo vehicle that I've had) so I've really enjoyed it thus far. Granted I'm only 1300 miles in but I'm loving this powertrain combo.

    Diesel V6 vs Standard V6

I went with the diesel because of the mileage. I had the Pentastar in a 2016 and it was fine for me. I don't tow much, but I do haul quite a bit in the bed of my truck at least a couple times a month. But I drive a lot for work (gonna be close to 35,000 miles per year) so the diesel option...

    Some Real World MPG Numbers

First tankful was 26.9. So glad I got rid of that lumberwagon F150 for this truck.

    Back into a Ram

Yeah, one of the things that made me feel better about the ecodiesel was the longer powertrain warranty. It may not last 5 years for me but 100,000 is still a good long time.

    Back into a Ram

I had a 2016 Ram Outdoorsman with the V6 that I traded for a 2018 Ford XLT with the 2.7. My Ram was a quad cab and when I was shopping for a new truck Ford had the largest crew cab available (two growing boys made the change necessary) and I also had a company car that made owning a truck...
