Person that wrote the ticket likely wasn't sure how to interpret what the tech wrote in their notes and just wing'd it and hoped for the best. Or, the tech could have wrote ****ty notes and his quality of repair work could also be directly related.
I'm researching the same thing. So far from what I've found, it's 2 seperate systems. You will need the single coaxial connector harness for the digitial rear view mirror camera interface (camera mounted on rear of trailer/camper). 2022 RAM 2500 3500 TRAILER TOW BACK UP CAMERA KIT GENUINE...
There is a difference, but I'm unsure as to what and I also don't have access to the spec list anymore. But, with everything I've seen when using Hunter systems, if a specific model is listed, there is a difference in spec. Otherwise, it would say something like Ram 2019-2024 1500 4x4 (All trims)
Thanks for posting the settings info. I've got a set of tow mirros on the way to swap out on the current vehicle. Just saved me some daylight hours and likely sanity.
Edit: Yep! Had to load current vehicle in Alfa, then forced it over to the 2020 2500. Selected those options listed above...
Or, the tech may have been agressive when performing the adjustments and physically moved the truck a bit too much on the turn/slip plates of the rack. End result is that is looks great on the screen, but in reality, the values are not the same. It hppens. I know for a fact because it's...
WIth the current measurements, you've now got more tire on the road with the increase in positive camber. With the caster offset, it should drive pretty good considering most roads are crowned to the right. Vehicles tend to favor the direction of the side with lower caster.
What shape are...
I swapped standard power folding, heated, signal, puddle lamp mirrors for same featured tow mirrors. Plug and play as long as you go feature for feature or less.
I’ll have to go out in the morning and look which one I have. It’s been a min since I’ve needed to use it. There is a preferred adapter page within Alfa’s website. That’s all I have right now unfortunately. There’s also a huge all things Alfa thread on here regarding known changes and...
Apple can be a little funny when you throw in vehicle hacks. I personally prefer a windows pc(surface pro is my current interface). I have the gateway bypass to obd cable. Then a OBD to USB cable that connects it all hardline to the computer.
The Android guys like their Android...
I do not believe the Autel is capable performing those types of changes. If that were the case, everybody would be talking about it. I may be wrong as I have gotten away from automotive for several years ago now. Tools update all of the time. The model I have is just a click or two below...
Hopefully someone that has an Elite tool can chime in however......
I cannot speak for the Elite model of the tool, but I'm certain the Autel Maxisys MS906TS does not offer any module configuration with 2018 and newer FCA vehicles due to the security gateway regardless if Auto Auth is used ir...
I can tell you from experience that on SOME Ram trucks that have electric power steering, that steering angle/yaw rate sensor DOES need to be recalibrated after any adjustment is made to the front end in order to end up with a centered steering wheel. I've got a 19 Big Horn and I could not for...
I had a dual pano roof on my previous 2014 Grand Cherokee. There was an annoying "tick" whenever the body would flex the slightest bit due to one side of the glass being in a bit of a bind. Ended up having to re-level the sunroof and the noise went away. Unfortunately, I don't have access to...
Another vote for it occurring during install as you have to remove the outer tie rods from the spindle. Some folks are more careful than others. Reach out to the dealer that did the repairs. Be cool and explain the situation.
Used truck = likely blown fuse for trailer +12VDC . There's also a decent failure rate for the bumper mounted trailer receptacle. I've been a victim of both.
Got a pic of the harness?
Spline lug nut tool
Like the one in the link above can be found for cheap. You would need to measure the diameter of your lug nuts and count the splines on it before ordering. WIth that wheel design, you are usually stuck using that syle of lug nut due to the lack of clearance.
My advice...
Been using a BulletPoint mount with tablet mount for my RV observation system for several years now. Very similiar to the one pictured above except the mounting base is much lower profile. Looks almost identical to ProClip (thanks for sharing that btw). Tons of different attatchments. No...
I went down the halogen to led conversion rabbit hole a while back. Did find some reverse and cargo led's that worked better than stock and fit as they should. Still wasn't quite bright enough, so I added one of these. It's plenty bright. Bright enough it turns off my neighbors dawn to dusk...
