Well, I am still awaiting the Whipple, but it turns out that the design had a flaw in it and they needed to go back to the drawing board. I'll post updates as soon as I hear back from Whipple. Thanks guys!
About $12K, as there needed to be many modifications to the fenders in order to get them to fit, including new mounting points and structural supports. The fenders DO NOT fit well out of the box. Lot's of fiberglass, sanding, fitting and repeat.... Well over 200 hours of work. We're just about...
Here's a quick update of the project. This took almost 3 months to complete. Body work is finished. All that is left is the supercharger and inner wheel wells, along with some body structure support modifications.
In this picture, you'll notice the tolerances on the brake lights and tail gate. Another task that took over a week to complete. The bed sides were about 1" off on each side. So, we had to build it up to get back to stock tolerances against the tailgate. Same with the brake lights. Everywhere...
It's slowly coming along. If you want to make this look stock, you have to fabricate new mounting points for all fenders, build out a new rear wheel well to help settle and fibration to the wider bed panels, steel plates for the bed to catch the tonneau cover, the front fender headlight...
For now, we're going to leave it, as is, and see what it may need to be enhanced. I'm trying to stay away from the factory TRX stuff, as I'm doing my best to design the truck as if I had the opportunity to do so. However, I do love that TRX hood! Can't lie there... LOL.
Using a bit of body filler to get tolerance as close as possible, as shown in the below pictures. Almost finish fabricating a lower extension of the front fenders to line up better with the bumper. We're getting there. Slowly, but surely...
We looked into the TRX bumper and, believe it or not, it's the same size as the regular Rebel's. If you look at pictures, Ram was able to create a front bumper "flare" to fit to the wider front panels. We're, sort of, doing a similar thing to this one.
Taking the fenders out of the equation (since we replaced them), we did have to cut a small piece of the frame out behind the front wheel. We'll post pictures of what we did. Otherwise, the 37s fit fine. Front bumper cleared, as well. Rear needed no modification.
That was actually an option. We were thinking of getting a donor bumper, cutting one long, and welding it to the other to widen in and match the fenders. When we mocked it up though, the fiberglass didn't line up horizontally. So, we would have still had to do more fiberglass work. We think...
Some more progress made on the fender kit installation. Rear bedsides went on GREAT. Some minor sanding and cutting to get tolerances closer to stock. One challenge we have is figuring out how to line the new front fenders with the front bumper. It sticks out a couple inches on each side...

The replacement front fenders from Fiberwerx arrived late Friday, as promised. We'll test fit them this week and see if these make a closer fitment. As shown in the pictures above, the other front fenders didn't fit well at all. So, we'll keep you updated on the progress.
