Full lock to the left backing up or going forward to fast, only time it rubbed was parking. Trimmed maybe a 3x3 piece off the inner fender well and it stopped. I wouldn’t worry about the rubbing if your even. Little mechanically inclined.
I’m running 35x12.5r22 on my factory 22un wheel that came on my 2021 1500 limited with air ride. Had to trim a small piece on the passenger side. It rubbed a little when full lock and backing up or Turing into a parking spot fast… not the worst and was super easy. Maybe a 2in piece of plastic on...
I’m curious how yours does not have jack mode. Won’t you blow your air strut if you jack your truck up to change the tire?? Air suspension isn’t new technology. All the cars I have ever seen or worked on that had air ride from the factory all had a tire jack mode. Going back 20years on...
Update, the tires actually rubbed on the inside just a little. That pic I posted must have been some scrapes from the snow/ice we had that week. I had to trim a small piece of plastic off the passenger side inner fender ans that got rid of the noise. And it was small. Maybe a 2x2in sq. I think...
I have a 2021 limited on air ride and I have a “ tire jack mode” I’m also running some federal 35x12.5x22 on factory rims and had no running in “normal” mode only in aero...
Update #2
I am now at 2500 miles and haven’t had an issue. I find that tow mode is a happy medium between. Stock and performance. I haven’t driven the last 1k miles in tow mode. Performance mode is cool, but it’s almost to much torque off the line. I’m constantly spinning my tires.
No, I had to send it back. With the 4in lift and 35s my truck wouldn’t fit in my parking garage at work. I wish I could have installed it. The leveling kit was as much as I could do
I suppose you could take the spacer off if you ever wanted to go back to fully stock. You would have to trim the adapter pieces that are screwed onto the stock studs. Or maybe weld a new stud, depends on your skill level
Not rough at all. I added my tires first to just see the difference. On the stock suspension with 35x12.5x22s I notice no difference once I added the spacers and links. The tires make the biggest difference out of those 3 mods.
Hmm, not sure what’s clunking. But the spacers are the correct way. You will maintain ride quality and the ability to still use all of your air suspensions settings. Just adding the links will make the ride quality more rough. Your adding more air to the strut which will stiffen it up.
Yes the instruction say to do it. I took half the stud off. I did a little at a time and kept checking for fit. But basically, if you get the strut off and put the nut back on, all the way down then just cut a thread or two above the nut. That way when you take the nut off it will fix whatever...
