Sorry for the long delay ive been busy with ski season and just got back into the messing with my cars and truck season. If you follow the poorly written directions from ram I think the most important part is holding down the remote button and the button on the truck for a very long time, you'd...
So after 6 weeks of backorder my spoiler arrived. I ordered the satin black painted version, it's about $20 more than the unpainted version. The quality is pretty good, so is the fitment. It was packed well and came with nice instructions, an adhesion promoter wipe, and the spoiler itself. I...
It's Blue not UV, it was a tough choice between them. I got (2) 1m strips they're the perfect length for the sides. I didn't do the front and rear, i thought it would be difficult to make it seamless and I didn't want it to look too aftermarket.
If you put rear spacers in, it's probably them when hitting pumps, aluminum one's do it less because they don't have as much mass(weight) and carry less inertia. If it's coming from the front it's probably the sway bar links or tie rods, they can loosen a little as the settle into place while...
So yeah not the heaviest of boats but I think this might be the longest trailer pulled by a 1500, it's under 7k lbs pulled with a 5.7 3.21 rear end without a WDH/sway control. Pulled from Cleveland to Pittsburgh yesterday afternoon. It actually towed really well without issue or any white knuckling.
The hard part is getting into the area around the mirror where you get the 12v ACC power from, it's tight and a little bit of fiddling to feed the wires thru the rest of it especially from the lights to the overhead console area is very easy and roomy, just open your sunroof and stick your head...
Here's some pics with the screen pulled back, the led strips reflect 2 bars of light on the glass. I took them this morning so the morning dew reflects the light. I'm really in love with how well this turned out for a beta test and I think I might pull these and replace them with an RGB set, I...
Yes that was my intent, the DOA dimmer put a delay on that and right now the wires are not as clean as I normally do but I figured when I go back in there to put the replacement in I'll clean everything up. I also forgot to get the night pictures last night. I did drive it around, it looks...
So some preliminary pictures, I closed the screen so you can see it in the daylight. The dimmer I got from superbrightleds.com came to me clearly used, the wire ends were ratted out, I thought no big deal as long as it works, well it was clearly DOA, so after messing with it, blowing a fuse...
It's going on the backside of the headliner, it'll be completely hidden and under the retractable screen. I've already tossed it in there and open and closed the screen, there's nothing in there that moves that would hit it. I guess when I'm done with it the pictures I'll post will make it...
Well all the parts came today and I'm half way thru making the wiring harnesses with connectors so the install will be professional looking and solid. None of those industrial wire nuts on my truck 😂 just need some 3M tape and the install will be a breeze, I've checked the light strips with a...
Yeah, I seen a video on how to make a floor lamp work with it, then after some digging I realized they make 12vDC versions and not just the 120vAC version. I brought it into the cab because I wasn't entirely sure it would work right and had the OEM switch ready to go but it worked on my first...
I think the rolling codes is just the security method to keep someone from stealing the signal code. I think the multiple relays have different codes for each block and I don't think you can program 2 relays to one button. I could be wrong but i think that's how it works.
I've used that in the past too on my prelude but the transformer has this annoying buzzing that I want to try to avoid. I think, as long as it fits as well as it should, it will be amazing, I've got a week to figure out which wires in the overhead are constant 12v and ground. But the custom...
Well all the parts are ordered, decided to do with a single color to proof the design with a remote control for on/off and dimmer control, it also has a few modes like fade and pulse.
