    Update: 16,000 miles and...no issues

E torque generator went out this summer, at around 107k miles. Those are expensive and unobtainable. Luckily, found the thread here detailing how to tear it apart and replace just the bad bearing. However, I never want an E torque motor again. Added complexity & expense for really no benefit.

eTorque Bearing Replacement, Fixed Grinding Noise

I just ordered a new Ram limited. I wish I could get the straight Hemi, but that's not possible. While I'd preferably avoid the potential complexity of turbos, I'm not tolerating the Etorque thing again, so HO V6 it is!

*INCREASED REBATES* on '26 Orders w/ MARK DODGE

Hey Anthony, when talking with my local dealer, they insist that the current rebates cannot be locked to a custom order, and only apply to delivery by 9/2. They said when rebates can be locked to a custom build order, it doesn't mandate a delivery date. True?

*INCREASED REBATES* on '26 Orders w/ MARK DODGE

Any idea when "late availability" colors start to show up? I know I can't order delmonico red, which was my preference. I'd consider molten red (although I'd like to see a real world example). Any idea when these colors are available?

*INCREASED REBATES* on '26 Orders w/ MARK DODGE

I tried getting some local quotes to see if anyone could match Mark Dodge's quote - and not really is the answer. However, they all tell me a Limited can't be ordered in Delmonico Red. Ram's build it site still lets me select it though. Is this a temporary issue?

eTorque Bearing Replacement, Fixed Grinding Noise

Ordered the bearing, had my mechanic install it. He showed me the old rear bearing. It was shot. Truck now works great! thanks again.

    E torque alternator.

FYI - you do NOT need to wait months to buy an expensive replacement alternator. Head over to the eTorque Bearing Replacement thread. I ordered the bearing mentioned on that thread for $50 shipped and paid my mechanic $350 to do it. So I'm in $400. Truck works great and noise is gone. Would...

eTorque Bearing Replacement, Fixed Grinding Noise

Thanks for the information & write up. I'm going to order that rear bearing and give this a shot.

    E torque alternator.

Ugh. Now I'm in this unfortunate group as well. 2020 Longhorn with 105k miles. Truck started making "bad bearing" like noise from the front engine. My mechanic says it's the alternator, and that he ordered the part from the dealer. He was told there are about 3,000 currently on order, and...

    Price negotiated from MSRP

I'm starting the build & quote process for a 2026. Mark Dodge here on the forums offers a great, no hassle discount, and I've started the process with them - but are there dealers in the Midwest that routinely offer equally good of a deal? Would ideally like to avoid the 26 hour round trip...

*INCREASED REBATES* on '26 Orders w/ MARK DODGE

Looks like the Ram build it site is working now for the '26 1500. It's $1000 more for a Longhorn than a Limited. Can anyone tell me the difference, other than the interior color options?

Yeah, it's not working for me either. I'll check again in a couple days.

    Dash Cameras

I'm planning on getting one once I get my next truck. Considering ordering a '26. I don't want to go to the effort of installing it on my current truck. I was planning on going with the A329S - but that Fitcam (which I had never heard of before) sure looks nice & easy... I might get one of...

*INCREASED REBATES* on '26 Orders w/ MARK DODGE

OK thanks. Yeah, I was planning on a Limited or so level as well, so it sounds like the new colors won't apply.

*INCREASED REBATES* on '26 Orders w/ MARK DODGE

Looking at the new colors for 2026, is the molten red something that has been used on other vehicles - so that I can look at it? When I try to google it, I get images of random cars in random reds. Also, how much longer would you expect it to take Ram to update their "build it" website to 2026...

    Update: 16,000 miles and...no issues

On my '20 Longhorn Limited with the 5.7 Hemi, now with 101k miles, I've replaced the battery & tires. Oh, and one power side step motor. That's about it. Never been to the dealer for any major problems.

Got the Dreaded Rear Window Crack/Leak

I took my '20 in a year ago for this. Have only noticed the leak a couple times, but it exists. At the time, the part(s) to fix it were apparently back ordered, and after confirming the problem with the mechanic that inspected it, I was told they would call me when the part came in. Hmmm. A...

    Price negotiated from MSRP

If that's the case, then I would wait a few months until I can order a '26. thanks.

    Price negotiated from MSRP

It looks like Mark Dodge discounts on "upper end" trucks like Limiteds is around 20k. Is this a recent thing, given the tariff uncertainty? I haven't been looking for a new truck lately, so don't know if these rebates are significantly better than normal, but I assume so. If that is the case...
