First 5,000 miles stock, just under 16. First 25,000 miles with lift/level/tires, pretty consistently 15 avg unless a heavy wind, or I spend a lot of time city driving and it'd get worse. Last 5,000 miles... who knows, because I removed the gauge it from the instrument cluster!
I pulled a Keystone 2810bh (28' box) with a 2016 Rebel with slightly bigger than stock E rated tires, using an Equal-i-zer hitch. Besides the constant high RPMs, it pulled fine as long as I put most of the gear towards the front of the camper and didn't have anything in the bed. If i got...
Body mount bolts loose? Believe it or not, that was a real problem on some of these. For me, it wasn't a clunk, more like hitting a bird on the highway, but no bird.
If it's in the "it can be done" category, then it probably can be done, but it won't be much fun. And if you are pushing max capacity when towing (especially a travel trailer), it definitely won't be much fun.
I have 295/60R20 tires on a -12 rim, and it's about ~1/2" outside the fender flairs. 0 would likely have you right at it, or slightly inside it.
I'm looking forward to seeing your finished product. I currently have 1" blocks in the rear, and am trying to figure out how I can get rid of them...
My 2021 has 30,000 miles, still hasn't improved. 14ish is about where I'm at in the winter. My previous 2016 Rebel (setup nearly identical) was about 2.5 better. This was a disappointment considering the advertised range, but it is what it is.
Your WDH should be setup without any assistance from the airbags. But yes, once you are ready to tow, put some air in them before you put load on them.
I put Readylift spacer and control arms on my Rebel (just the spacer, not the coil spacer), and a 1" Motofab spacer in the rear, with a Hellwig swaybar. I've got about 1.25" of rake. Initially had 295/70R18 Fuel Rebels -12, but had problems with the caliper clearance, and they rubbed a lot on...
Couple years back I had a 24' Heartland Northtrail and really liked it, but it was a tad small once my girls became teenagers. We 'upgraded' to a Keystone Passport 2810BH. I quote upgrade because even though the floorplan was great, and the bunks bigger, it wasn't nearly as well made as the...
I have it on my 2021 Rebel, with a 2" front, 1" rear lift. I haven't really tested it off road yet, (nor did I before) so I can't comment on that, but it is much better on road with it. I described it, for me, as making the truck much more accurate. Mine's on the loosest setting. Might be a...
It does look good, I never said it didn't. When I said "whatever makes you happy", I meant it. My lift/tires/wheels are a lot of $$$ for looks.
But when some snickers at my post about these air intakes improving performance, and then proceeds to say they installed one purely for looks, it's a...
Lol, that's the first I've heard of someone installing one just for looks. But, whatever makes you happy.
S&B is in. It holds gears a bit longer and doesn't hesitate on acceleration. To me that's in increase in performance because it drives better. I could care less if it's a measurable hp...
Front sway bar end links a little loose? I had some wonky steering after an alignment (two, actually), and decided to check torques on everything. Mine were a tad loose, and that fixed it. Of course the alignment might be to blame, but I did have loose body mount bolts a while back too (got...
Dang, 64 pages on this thread. Figured I'd post my 2 cents that this is by far the worse cooling truck I've ever owned. Auto is useless on hot days, it never levels out and just blows full blast forever. Low, recir, a/c seems to help, but it's pretty disappointing.
Can't help but wonder if...
My regular tailgate is finicky. It has fell opened a few times on it's own. Seems like it might be a little too light for its own good. It doesn't take much to close it, but I wonder if it needs more force at times. I often check my backup cam on occasion because I'm nervous about it. Of...
Yes, they absolutely do. I've had K&Ns on 3 Hemi trucks (5.7 and 6.4). Noticeable sound as well as throttle response improvement and slightly better mpgs.
I have an S&B to install tomorrow morning. I went with it for a change, hopefully I'm as happy with it as I have been with the K&N.
FWIW with Readylift Spacer lift, on a -12 rim, 295/70R18 rubbed quite a bit on the driver side mud flap for me. Might be different on the stock wheels though.
^^ Wheels and tires are always first and favorite for me, but I guess that goes hand in hand with a lift/level. Next for me on this truck is the Hellwig Swaybar. Massive thread about it on this forum, but for me it makes the truck more 'accurate'. You'll notice right away how often you were...
