Just tire blooming. That's normal for tires exposed to to the UV rays. Use a really strong tire cleaner with a brush, then apply a tire dressing to make them black, but not shiny. The dressing will seal in the effects of blooming and will keep the tire black longer.
Just an FYI, the front panels are fenders and the rear panels are quarter panels. The hood does not mate up with the quarter panels. Just for future reference.
OKay, DEG. Whatever.
OldPhart, You do have a claim in Texas and if you end up getting a negative entry on Carfax, you will qualify for diminished value in your state. You need to come up with a real value though and getting it from a dealer can get you close numbers, and an official...
Your twisting my words to make yourself look good. Go ahead. I don't need your approvals or acknowledgements. Again, my statement of clean versus damaged is referencing the report. Does the report claim clean or does the report claim damages. Whatever. You be you and be happy with your...
And how is what I said "Not exactly true" when I said the same thing but used different words? The "clean" trade/sale that I mention is referencing a clean report of no damage. That's why I stated in comparison to a damaged vehicle.
Where you're wrong is in claiming that he might only get...
He didn't say that the dealer would give him $10k more than buyout when he turns it in. He said another dealer is offering him $10k more than his buyout amount as a trade in on a new truck.
Turning this truck in at lease end and losing that $10k is a bad choice, so trade it for $10k in...
You're asking way too much if the damage is minimal like you said.
Diminished value is to cover the cost difference between a clean trade/sale and one with damage. I doubt you'll see anything more than $4k-$5k of actual loss difference, if even that much, in today's market on these trucks...
That's probably it! When going to dinner with the family, I always grab a water so I don't get tempted to pay $3.79 for a single soda. "I'm good, I have a water, thanks" is what I tell the server. And, anybody living or traveling near central Florida knows how bad tap water tastes, so you...
What happened to the days of driving without a drink? I'm guilty of doing the same, but I remember driving long distances and getting a drink when stopping for gas. When did we become so dependent on always having a drink with us? Again, I'm asking about myself also, as I seem to always have...
I seem to always launch from a stop light due to the lag in the throttle response. The lack of movement when gassing it mentally tells me to give it more gas. At that point, it responds and I'm pulling away from everyone else. I think it's the lag causing you to apply more pressure.
Anybody around that can swap wheels and tires for a test drive? I found certain tire brand and weight have caused a vibration in the frame, called "frame beaming". I think all RAM frames have the vibration cannister attached to eliminate that. Is yours still there? It could easily be the...
SUVs replaced the station wagon because the station wagon was built on a car platform where the SUV was built on a truck platform. That's why all US manufacturers have focused on the SUV and trucks and stopped making most cars. The EPA has different requirements for trucks than cars, so the...
I recently purchased the Bilstein 5100s, new UCAs from Mopar from their 2" level kit, and SuspensionMaxx sway bar end links. I also just purchased the beefier spring compressors to make the job less sketchy when replacing the strut. I wasn't concerned about owning my own compressors since I've...
The exterior door handles are the same front to rear. I wonder if a front door internal handle assembly can be installed in the rear so that a pull of the interior handle DOES unlock and allow the door to open, just like the front.
Next time I take the door panel off the front, I'll check out...
I don't have an issue with that, but near me, I was being quoted prices from $125-$200 to have them do 15 minutes of work.
Not sure why, but ALL of the local shops near me have been bought up by Mavis, whoever they are. Pep Boys Auto Center, Tuffy Tire and Auto, Tire Kingdom, Action Gator Tire...
