It's Ram/Stellantis changing options on the build/ordering screen, which is nothing new during a launch.
IMO, it'll be late summer or fall before you can order a '25 Ram with no ordering restrictions, just like we saw with the launch of the 2019 model.

Many of us went through this in 2018 when we ordered 2019s. There is no rhyme or reason as to why they build what they do, although IMO it sounds like they have parts availability issues for the higher end trims.

And in theory it's no different than someone buying a 3 year old used truck from a dealer and financing it for 36-60 months.

But to clarify, it's a three year lease and then you'll buy it and likely finance it for 5 years?
I could not imagine paying for a truck for eight years, just think how old that truck will be and you'll be making $700+ payments on it...
Does it have real time traffic and hazard info, like Waze? If not, I have no idea why you'd use that vs plugging your phone in ans using Waze (and I have factory navigation on both my vehicles).
Worse case, just get the bumper wrapped in PPF film. I've had a Ram and F150, both with a chrome and painted bumper. The painted looks so much better and is worth it IMO.
