My cutting out issue hasn't came back to haunt me this year yet, but tonight is the first real cool night, so we shall see... However, every time my truck did this last winter, I noticed that the audio cutting in and out did not affect my handsfree phone calls. I cant remember if they were...
Is yor truck still good Nicodywill. Mine had rough idling and almost stall issues on startup as well, and has been into the dealer for all of the relevent flashes an recalls, including the rough idle one. I got it back last week, only to have it do the rough idling and almost dying again on me...
I too was at the dealer for two minor recalls and explained the issues with the intermittent audio. However my truck hasn't done it in over a month as temperatures have warmed up..., and they said the same thing, that they are working on a fix (unknown when it will be released), and that...
The weird part about this, is that the call would be using the amplifier/anc module to play the audio to the speakers, so you would think this should rule out any hardware issue with the amplifier unit, as well as a temperature issue, as the audio is 100 percent ok during a call. I wonder if the...
So, another interesting twist. I remote started my truck, and was in the house on the phone. When I left the house and got into the truck pressing the start button, the call transferred to uconnect. I stayed in the driveway and finished the call. Once I hung up, I threw the truck in reverse, and...
This is my 2019 Sport with 275/65/20 Terra Grappler G2's, on stock rims that look the same as yours in your signature pic, but black. Yeah its kinda dirty, and snow covered....but hey..it's a truck.
They sent me Metra 72-6514 for the doors, and they are indeed wired backwards from the 71-050 harnesses, so yes yours would have worked perfectly without any changes. Weird. Although mine came from Amazon.
Ric3boy, My truck has only done this to me 5-6 times since buying it in October. I'd be pulling my hair out if my truck did it almost every day. If you think it is battery related, do you have a multimeter with min/max settings on it, this way you could log what your voltages are...
Regarding the audio cutting in/out issue. I was 20 minutes into a 2 hour trip, and pulled over for gas. Shut the truck off to fuel, and when I restarted, ended up with the no reverse camera and audio on all sources cutting in and out issue. I didn't have time to sit and wait for 20-30 minutes...
My truck was Manufactured in May of 2018, I bought it in October, and the truck's Uconnect did it's own over the air update around the first week in November. My dealer says that they don't update the units with the Wifi/Cellular, and that all updates for these units are pushed by "Uconnect"...
Is there anyone in here with the 8.4 Nav that Isn't experiencing these issues? I am just wondering, and I see that guys tried to start a thing to see what software everyone was running..etc. As far as I can tell the Nov 5 TSB doesn't apply to 8.4 Nav units? As per Ric3boy, I can say that There...
Yes, I just removed the four positive wires for the mics from the connector at the amp..
I wish they would have given the option to turn it off manually, especially in the Sports. I like being able to hear the exhaust note a bit..
You would think they wpuld have inverted the signal electronically in the amp instead of inverting the door speakers. And i will say. I dont miss my ANC one bit. I actually wish they would have jist given the option to turn it off on the deck. I like the fact that I can hear the sport exhaust a...
The Metra 72-6514 are indeed backwards. Hooking a low voltage dc power supply to the removed factory speaker proves this. The right pin looking down at the factory speaker from the back is positive, as the speaker moves outward when positive voltage is applied to this pin. Metra's harness has...
I have the Alpine system, and I did an amp install for better bass over the last few days, and am temporarily using my old subwoofer box out of my 2011 ram. It 3/4 fits under the seats until I decide what I want to do for a new one... It sounds great. I used an Audiocontrol LC1.800 amplifier...
I upgraded all 3 of my fronts (Alpine system) with the GX302's, and did the rear 6x9's with the 962's. I will tell you that if you have the Metra adapters for the 6x9's ...CHECK THE POLARITY..THEY'RE WIRED BACKWARDS...this will cause major issues with the Active Noise Cancellation as the new...
