This happened to me, very common. The aluminum perch should not be installed on the rebel, it already has it.

The guy from hellwig said to be careful as a regular drill bit will probably bind and could be dangerous. A press would work best

I had the same issue when I installed mine a few weeks ago. I called and they said it’s usually from the finish paint. I put a cone shaped grinding bit on my drill and went to it for a few seconds. It didn’t take much. After that installation was a breeze

Thanks for the feedback! I installed mine on the middle setting. Rides so nice. I’m curious how it will ride in the tightest setting so I’ll probably give it a shot

I hope the replacement mx4 works out for you. I had the encore on my gen4 ram. It was nice being able to open the panel closest to the cab and the cover was very easily removable. However, the panels faded badly in just a year or two, and by year three the rubber seals between panels fell apart...

The mats that come with the rebel are really nice. I had Huskies on my last truck and decided to stick with the off road mats that came with my rebel.

When I sold my 2006 it had 140k miles on it, no issues. My 2014 did have the lifter issue at 105’000 miles. I’m hoping I was one of the “rare occurrences” so I purchased a 2020 with my fingers crossed. 8k so far, hopefully Lightning doesn’t strike twice.

You are correct. DO NOT install that part with the rebel.

Mind sharing your go to products? I recently got a black rebel. I put a coat of chemical guys “black ice” on and have since topped with the last coat with decent results.

I may be misinformed but when I had ppf done they didn’t do the front bumper because it was powder coated. I’m not sure if they just didn’t want to or they couldn’t.

PPF, window tinting, Bilstein 5100 level, running boards, wheel spacers, undercover folding cover...3k ish

I don’t see why that would be. I just did that same set up with setting 5 up front. Mine is 4x4 but I don’t see why that matters on the rear
