Recall of High Pressure Fuel Pump

Everything seems to have gone well. I'm not sure how long it took, as I dropped it off on a Thursday evening after hours and picked it up on Saturday morning. The tech said it was the 4th recall pump swap they had done so far. Now, this easily could be my 46,000 mile old Falken Wildpeaks, but...

Recall of High Pressure Fuel Pump

I called my dealer about the recall around Christmas time and they said they would put me on the list and get back with me when parts were available. Got a call this week and service scheduled for March 1st.

    No more diesel.......

Not cool for the future, but at least we all have the engine we wanted right now. If i can pick up a Jeep Recon in 3 years for in-town driving and save the truck for out of town and trips to Menards, this EcoDiesel will last forever!

    DEF at the pump?

I fill up DEF at a CirckeK off the interstate in my area. It's they only pump in my city, but not out of the way from where I live. My last ~5gal fill in May was $21. I do remember filling once in 2020 for less than $15, so apparently DEF has been hit by the inflation bug, too. Have the jugs...

    Sub Location Ideas?

Any of you who have removed the rear seats think this JL Audio MicroSub+ might fit behind the rear drivers side? I have an EcoDiesel BigHorn and need a little more thump without taking up floor space under the seats. Got some free space back there without the eTorque battery but not sure how...

Confused on what door speakers to get

So I have a base 6-speaker EcoDiesel and the front door 6x9's were 4ohm. Direct swapped with Alpine Type-R 6x9's and they sound pretty nice. What sub did you add? Any pics of the install? I would also like a little more bass but don't want to sacrifice the rear floor space.

    Speaker "Vibrating"

I finally made a decision here. After quite a bit of research I ended up going with the Alpine Type-R S69.2 set of 6x9s. Crutchfield said they were slightly too big to fit but they dropped in perfectly. Zero modification necessary. They sound really clear through a range of frequencies. Very...

@mculik5 great feedback! Thanks for following up.

    Speaker "Vibrating"

You’re probably going to lose bass going even from the factory 6x9 to those Kickers. The infinity reference are 3ohm (have not heard them personally) and shouldn’t make too much volume difference. There are a few audio threads on here that you can follow. Crutchfield has a 60 day return policy...

    Speaker "Vibrating"

I did car audio for years, like really loud competition stuff, although I’ve since tried to not modify my more expensive vehicles the past 10 years. I listen to a lot of jambands and have my kid in the car most the time. Def didn’t blow a speaker due to loud volume. You likely did not either...

    Speaker "Vibrating"

My front left door is doing the exact same thing. Super buzzy. Doesn’t sound completely blown, but it’s not right. Currently deciding if I’m going to replace the front 6x9s with JL Audio, Kicker or Infinity Reference.

    2021 eco diesel gas mileage

Falken Wildpeaks that come standard on the 4x4 North package, 26gal tank. This thing just cruises, man. My old 2011 hemi Grand Cherokee would have struggled to get 20 on this trip. (similar tires). Love this diesel.

    2021 eco diesel gas mileage

Alabama to Indiana. Lots of hills on south I-65, got some good drafting when it got flat. ~77mph, 3.92s and Wildpeaks.

    Retrax Tonneau Cover

I love the appearance of the Retrax but the canister is HUGE! You'll have to let us know how it holds up to heavy rain or the auto carwash. My Switchblade Metal does a pretty good job keeping the bed dry but I do get small water leaks in the back corners. Not sure if that's avoidable.

    2021 eco diesel gas mileage

Follow up: my dash was reading 21.0, and I hand calculated 20.96 mpg. 496.5 miles with about 30% being highway in cold, windy and snowy Indiana. Went out in unplowed +6" of snow yesterday afternoon, this truck is a BEAST. I was a little nervous leaving my Hemi Grand Cherokee Laredo X...

    2021 eco diesel gas mileage

I'd be getting way better mpg if I could leave traction control on and keep my foot off the go pedal! This North edition is a snow monster and there's a bunch here in northern Indiana now. My company is still WFH so all I'm really driving is the 10mi round trip on hilly country roads to pick...

    DEF fill at the pump?

The giant sign on the side of the pump house said BlueDEF. Looked exactly like the logo on the Peak website https://www.peakhd.com/product/bluedef/diesel-exhaust-fluid/ "Get guaranteed purity from America’s #1 DEF brand." Yeah I'd rather go for the fresh stuff instead of the jugs sitting in the...

    DEF fill at the pump?

First DEF fill up, just dipped below 1/4 tank at 4900 miles. The nozzle is snug but fits perfectly and shuts off when full. Only had to drive about 10 miles from home to the truck stop station. The diesel here was $0.24 more expensive than my normal stop, so I passed on that though 😂

    Tonneau Cover Pics

This thing is great. I could see a little vibration in my rear view mirror on highway bumps, probably need to adjust the placement 1/8” closer to the tailgate to hold the end tighter. The cover is spring loaded so it opens really easily. Locked up when the tailgate is closed, and no extra keys...

    Tonneau Cover Pics

Pace Edwards Switchblade Metal. I’ll post a few more photos when it’s daylight, it got dark on me before I finished the install. Initial impression is this is pretty cool! And the canister is very small compared to some of the other options out there, doesn’t take up much space. Happy so far...
