My 2014 jeep did the same thing. Apparenty a ground wire was loose. Easy fix but definitely disappointing.

Looks more like engine oil to me. Trans fluid would be red.

I just bought new mirrors and got rid of my tow mirrors. Everything works except for power folding ( need new switch and door modules + programming). It will happen just need to order those other parts now. Love these new mirrors!!!

Mine were squealing as well. I simply removed the pads and gave them a rub with a flat file and problem solved. Appeared there was a small piece of metal embedded in one of the pads causing the noise.

I opted to plasti-dip front grill/ 1500 emblems and body side moulding. Then I vinyl wrapped chrome around windows. I have new smaller black side mirrors on order and should have them by Friday.
