hmmm...i see on my local dealership has 2025 orders. Cheapest 2025 ram bighorn (v6 engine) they have is listed for $62k. Wow....just wow.
i guess it will sit right next to the 2024 big horn they are trying to sell as well, with rebates of $10k for under $50 that is still sitting there.
A couple of youtube channels are ripping into the price for the 2025 rams.
Base bighorn...4x4 crew cab level 1 (because you have to pick a level)..starting price is $55k and only includes the 3.6 pentastar engine. Just insane pricing.
Stellantis just doesn't understand their customers...
Not suprised by that if it was true...but that's how corporate greed comes into play and shoot themselves in the foot with pricing.
If it was closer in pricing on regular ice engine, folks will see value on it and will pay a little extra for that upgrade. If it was a 2-5% increase people would...
Interesting that there is no official ram revolution or ram ramcharger pricing.
Just want a bighorn ram rev with ram boxes…but just judging on pricing for the same i6 engine… it’s gonna be easy over $60k to START.
Not a good way to jump into the ev segment especially since they are like 3...
Messing with it now...glad the big horn has the ramboxes back. And no back country package...maybe I missed something last year.
Tried to match up as closely as to my 2022 build and with the upgraded engine it's about $5k more. That's a big deal...for a tough truck market.
2022 Ram Big Horn...
Very true. I think if it was matte black, that would stand out even more. The rebels are like that too.
Come to think if it…now I wonder how they painted that bottom half black.

Laramie is standard with led headlights, vented seats, and passenger power seats.
Other things that ram has taken away from the bighorn over the years is the rambox, and some of the fancy electronics.
Just stick with your must haves and just go from there.

I know lots of folks love that hood. I had a rebel before it, and I just didn't like it. When looking out it just blocked alot more view than I would like.
But I get it, and from outside, the sport hood looks great.

Wow...so I just checked ram website...no more back country for 2024. At least wheni tried to build one.
I need to reach out to eighty and see how many were built 2022 and 2023. I must be that special unicorn to have not only a back country, but one with ramboxes. They took that option off...
Curious to know how popular is the backcountry trim. Definitely don't see that many out there in general. I can sew ram just phasing that trim out for just the offroad package...or just get rid of the offroad trim all together.

My experience with big chain tire places is that they don't like messing with anything that isn't stock.
I took it to a mom/pop shop, or a 4wd auto shop and got mu aftermarket rims and tires installed

Correct me if I'm wrong...directly from ram's site
"The generator can also increase the power to the motor and gearbox when serious power is needed."
So it's not direct...it's more like taking generator power to give it a little extra juice. I can imagine that there is a limit to how long it...
Agree that we need to figure out the entire system. I'm just going by the website that it will have a 130-kilowatt generator that comes from the engine. It converts that mechanical engine power to electric power to the battery.
How the power is transferred (either full 130kw or less) and...
Good question and I'm not sure. Right now the current 3.6 puts out like 275hp ish ( roughly 205kw) power...I can't imagine them having a different engine from the one they currently use for the tradesman.
Without an alternator or etorque curious to know how much power the 3.6 puts out...
Maybe there is some confusion on your end or I'm not explaining it very well. Engine output will not change...increase or decrease. It's already predetermined.
Power will always come from the battery status that drives the motors in the front and back. Engine has no imput on how much power its...
Agree to disagree. Your comparing apples to oranges. Based by your situation, not all locks are the same. Just remember, this is a electric truck. It will need to have some charge before the engine kicks in.

Correct....in a way. If your talking about electricity, yes...but not like if your pressing on the throttle and it revs that engine for more power.
The load I'm talking about is that it's not connected to anything...like transmission, rear drive shaft, front diff, or anything like that. Without...
The info I see is that it should be the same pentastar engine. Different is that it's solely used as a generator so there wouldn't be a load on the engine because it's not connected to anything.

Oh absolutely. Stock for stock, can't really beat a rebel. But if your building a specific type of truck, it's better so save some money early and get a lower trim, then build up the way you want it.
I do miss my ventilated front seats and the back seats reclined a little...kids loved that...
