The posts on efficiency are spot on. Ultimately EV is significantly more efficient, conservatively speaking - 2/3's more efficient than gas, 1/3 more than diesel. And they provide impressive torque - after all, they've been doing this for decades in locomotives and other industrial...
I pretty much use it exclusively, it's a little easier on the back. The Diamondback tonneau wasn't affected by it other than a bit of adjustment on installation.
Any idea's on a good organizer for use with this? If not I'm thinking the DIY route because of the odd shape. If there's someone who already solved this I'd love to see it.
I'm sort of detail obsessive. I've had great luck with this product restoring plastic trim on a number of vehicles. I've not had the need to use on my Ram yet so you'll have to be the judge as to suitability. I highly recommend testing in an inconspicuous place first...
FYI you can just leave recirc on, it is definitely the best way to get the lowest temps (I get 44 with it on, 56 with it off). It will automatically open every 25 mins or so to ensure there's appropriate oxygen/fresh air. You can hear it.. I thought I was losing my mind but it was the vent...
Man this whole A/C thing was almost a deal breaker for me when looking into the Ram. I keep my house at 67 all summer in TX, so clearly I'm not a fan of the heat. My black Limited with black interior diesel seems fine though. Today I measured 44 at the vent with 96 temps outside, no hack.
