Drill an NMO into the roof. It's the best way to go and you can quickly remove it if you need to. A 1/4 wave whip works well there and will not rip off if you hit anything with it.

Drill a 3/4" hole on the rear roof and install and NMO mount. You can run the wires under the headliner and into the front or back. Having the antenna up high at 6' off the ground will make a world of difference.
They will fold back if they get too warm and shut down. I've not seen it yet, after several 30 min + conversations. I'm sure they get warm, but there is space around them. Don't forget the factory audio amp is on the passenger side back there. The radios will do 45w out and I run them at...
I'd like to thank the help and docs I've received here from people. I'm about 95% done with this, and happy with how it came out. There's still some work to be done on mounting the mics holders, my audio mixer and of course programing everything.

Yes, I think so. I want to put two holes in the roof behind the sunroof and inline on either side of the FM/GPS/LTE antenna. Before doing this, I want to be sure there's nothing in the way that precludes installing them.
