    V-8

born in 58, I know all about these engines. Could be the greatest engine ever made, for EVERYDAY use.....but NOT a hot rod candidate. Sure, there were some weirdo's who did one up here and there, but small V8's ruled the day back in the 60's and 70's...big blocks were more powerful, but small...

    V-8

I don't know what corner of the country ever had 225 slant six's as a popular "hot rod" engine, but they sure as heck weren't popular with hot rodder's in New England in the 70's when I was in high school(72-76). The Slant 6 was one of the greatest engines ever made, but not for power. They were...

WTF? Anyone else with a Limited or Tungsten have severe chipping on your wheel well trim?

that's crazy, my 19 Limited wheel flares still look great! I do run mud guards though, and have since I bought the truck in 2020.

    Rear sensors looking for trailer

can't you just turn on and off the backup sensors from the button control by the radio? On my 19, I have to turn off the backup sensors when I hook up my trailer, so I have complete control of whether they are on or off. Is the 2025 different?

    Rear sensors looking for trailer

this is confusing to me, what are you doing with the 4 pin? are you plugging in a trailer harness? If so, you want the sensors off....if not, what are you plugging in?

    diminished value claim

then you must have identified the person that hit you, and got the settlement against THEIR insurance, you typically can't claim DV against your OWN company. mind sharing what state and what insurance company? And don't forget, if you did get a payout from your OWN insurance company, that amount...

    Air Suspension or Coils?

the adjustable Air Suspension is a MUST HAVE in my opinion if you plan on towing. The pleasure I get seeing the jaws drop when someone watches me back up to a trailer in the lowest setting, get right under the coupler in one try, then hit the "raise" button and the hitch ball rises right up into...

Best years for 5th gen? Looking to purchase

my 19 Limited has been just about flawless for 63K miles now. What I like about is is 1. Hemi V-8, 2. NO START STOP!!, 3. last year of CD player. 4. price I paid ($44K in 2020), when it had 13K milees on it. Since I bought in 2020, there was only 2 years of 5th gen's out there. If I was buying...

When buying out of state, did you pay tax and what was the cost to register within your own state?

ya....I know what you're thinking....the answer is no, there's no LEGAL way to not pay the sales tax of the state you are registering it in...lol

    diminished value claim

retired insurance adjuster here. my career was in Mass, live in CO now. I have never heard of someone getting paid out on diminished value when there is no other carrier to go after. DV is paid out by the liable party's insurance co. As someone mentioned, there are different laws in different...

    Holy Brake pads!!!!

You could be right, I might be thinking of a different vehicle I've had in the past. It doesn't matter to me. I could feel the rotors starting to act up here and there, so it's piece of mind for me. Since I save a ton doing my own work I don't mind.

    Holy Brake pads!!!!

At 60K miles I want new rotors anyway...😀
  18. OldMarine

What brakes do you recommend (time to replace)

Just did my front rotors at 60K miles, (see my post "Holy Brake pads" above). I went with NAPA premium adaptive rotors, their best. Couldn't be happier. Smooth as silk, zinc coated all over, and at $114 each, pretty good pricewise. My pads were so good, I left them as is, even though I had a...
