Again, silly question and I'm not trying to insult anyone's intelligence but was the spring seat upside down where the clip is?.....I only mention this because I've seen it.
EDIT: Oops just saw that @Scram1500 just asked the same question.
😂🤣 Definitely a shady response from Motorsports Tech. I just remember my instructions saying something about loctite voiding the warranty. With all that said, I didn't use any and I personally haven't had any issues with lugs coming loose for over 2 years now. If it gives someone "peace of...
They may have removed that verbage in the instructions since I bought mine a few years ago. Below is a post from another member back in 2021 ...........
"So I emailed Motorsport (BORA) about the use of Loctite and here is the response I got (for a company that is well known with high-end...
I've been running my Bora's without loctite for over two years as well with no issues. If I remember correctly, Bora specifically said NOT to use loctite.
That is highway robbery 😳. Below was my cost using a reputable shop near me.
Costs:
LT and RT lowers (Mevotech) = $406
Install labor = $305
Alignment = $105
Total = $816
I would rule out your front sway bar end links and bushings first if you haven't done so already.
Your vehicle specs might be helpful as well.....stock? level? lift?
I replaced my LCA's with Mevotechs and it solved my clunking issue. I have been very happy with them so far?
I do a lot of hot / cold cycles on my engine and
I tow a boat all summer so I'm sure that has something to do with my frequent replacements.
If It happens again out of warranty I will certainly attempt to replace it myself.
They will change part numbers if they use a different manufacturer, it doesn't always mean it's a redesign when they do so. Not saying you are wrong, just simply saying that I haven't seen any hard facts saying there was a redesign.
I've had mine changed three times now and have been told...
They are holding up pretty good so far. I got the balance issue figured out. The shop that installed them originally never removed my old weights and was trying to counter balance them against the old weights 🤦🏼. Once I took them to reputable tire shop to have them rebalanced, all is good...
Cut off the junk factory ones and replace with the ones that @Redz72 and @HSKR R/T posted. They come with a split in them for easy installation.... enjoy a clunk free truck again.
