I installed a Lock’r Down Extreme console safe with the metal electronic lock. Fits perfectly and provides secure place to store - well that stuff. The extreme was made from surprisingly thick stock. Very pleased with the way it came out!
I installed one of the low models in mine, and I believe there is room for your 45, and some other items as well. The heavy gauge material (I bought the extreme) used makes a very safe storage for a handgun. I’m very pleased with mine purchase.
Mine comes in this Thursday. I’d love to know how long the install is, any tricks you learned, and some pictures of the cutouts. Trouble with being the first one to get something complete is everyone wants to pick your brain about it. Anything you could offer would be really appreciated...
My truck has the Laramie trim, and I have been wanting to add a secure lock box. After reading through this thread, I placed my order with Lock’er Down for the Extreme (Low Version) Safe with the upgraded electronic lock. Got the “Black Friday” discount (use code “lockerdown”) and got $70 off...
Yes - I did exactly the same thing. I haven’t been able to drive it since to see if anything is different, but I haven’t seen any problems either.
That said, I was surprised at how easy the upgrade process was
Installed WeatherTech mudflaps on all four corners today. I’m not a big fan of add-on mudflaps as they usually make the truck look like an old guys rig. Then I realized.....what the heck, I am an old guy! In the end these are really nice units, and looks pretty good even on a light colored truck.
I certainly agree with your thoughts on the change in spectrum moving to the LEDs. But I think the reasons there isn’t much difference in the before/after images you posted, is because the cameras are mounted much lower than the replacement LEDs and therefore illuminated mostly from the backup...
I’m beginning to believe that 22 mpg highway is an accurate value. I drove up to see my folks yesterday. The trip is 125 miles each way. When I left I had averaged 16.2 mpg over the last severage hundred miles of mixed driving. I drove about 70 mph almost all on adaptive cruse control, on...

There was another post that I can’t find anymore...
If it stopped the squeak and didn't damage anything in the process - that's what you hope for. I was amazed that just by setting the top (that's what I would call smacking it) the issue went away. If it comes back......I can still have the dealers work on it.
One of the modes of eTorque operation is to assist the engine when it is running on four cylinders (in ECO). I certainly can’t provide evidence to support this, but I believe it does help keep in the engine in ECO mode. No way to verify it, but even up slight grades at reasonable freeway...
Seriously......it was mentioned earlier that if you smack the top of the console a few times with your fist, the squeak goes away. I did this myself and the squeak really is gone. I wouldn’t let the dealer change, replace, or lubricate anything until I gave that a try
Well, I think I got the last Bed Step (side step - whatever) sold before FCA finishes their engineering evaluation. I ordered it from MoparAmerica on October 25th and it arrived today. Pretty simple 20 minute install - wife and grandson approve!
Does anyone know if they are on track to make this step available again in early November? I’ve tries to order one and everybody cancels the order because they are on indefinite backorder.
