No its not necessary, I believe I used all my old hardware.

The Core 4x4 are made incredibly strong.... NO Flexing and when you feel and see the difference in the construction, weight and the bushings - its a little unsettling to think, "why didn't this come with a stronger setup". But this is a great upgrade and installation is about two hours...

I went with Tier 3. I thought going to Tier 4 might have been over kill - LOL

I replaced all, both upper and lower. Better traction in the rain as well.

Tazor only gives you the fold/open option when you start the engine and when you shut off the engine. OBD Genie does the programing for the mirrors.

The App will work for this by the way. My buddy @RebelWraith on this forum did this with his android phone app on my truck About 3 weeks ago. He did not use the full version and my 12.1 screen was programmed in minutes.
