Any chance you know where they disconnected it?
I had leaky exhaust manifolds replaced at the dealer now I have the same issue.
I'm going on a long distance trip that could knock me out of warranty mileage...
Anyone know how long it takes to get broken studs replaced? I live an hour away from my dealer and I haven't heard back from them.
I'm wondering if it's short enough I can sit and wait for it.
That's what I was looking for. I'll have to do that next time I just picked up a wix. I used a purolator one last change and got lifter noise so I was hoping to get something bigger that would flow better.
I read once on here that a filter off an older ram would fit. I can't seem to find that information anymore.
What year is it off of and will it fit a 4x4 ram.
Thank you.

If you have green lines it's probably the camera or the camera's connection. I kept getting the green lines had to take it to multiple dealers since it was intermittent. Luckily one of them accepted a video of it as evidence and replaced the camera. 4000 miles later 0 issues.
I'm no engineer but I think a software issue that causes a hardware grind that gets progressively worse is going to take more than a update to fix the physical issue.
Of course this might not apply to all of our grinds but my steering was getting loose before my rack was replaced.
Surface area is where the particles can cross. More surface area = more places to cross.
As far as NAPA gold vs silver, there is no difference in surface area, both 9 pleats per inch. And based on WIX part numbers I think they're exactly the same.
Pleats add surface area so it reduces restriction the only time it could increase restriction is if the pleats were so packed it blocked air flow.
So say your theory is right about angle reducing flow. if you have 9 pleats per inch assuming the pleats are 1" deep which seems reasonable...
Sadly there's not too much you can do about a crap dealer. Luckily for me I got to try 3 different dealers on my travels through the west although an inconvenience for the journey, I probably wouldn't have gotten it fixed with my crap dealer.
Driving to the next dealer isn't a good answer but...
Rock auto lists the Wix 42725 as having 9 pleats per inch.
Napa only states pleats per inch on the silver which is also 9.
Napa's pro select is also the same part number.
All napa gold listings I can find say 9 pleats per inch.
Just want to update, 5000 miles later I still do not have the grinding noise after having my rack replaced.
Turning off the traction control might be a different issue or just a bandaid, either way the truck is meant to have it.
changing tires is definitely a bandaid for a bigger issue somewhere.
I've always been a wix filter user. In the past Napa has rebranded different versions of wix filters making up the gold / silver lines. However when looking at the air filter line for our trucks the Wix part number is the same. In fact Wix only lists one filter on their website.
It appears Napa...
