You will have no issues towing that through the WV mountains. We have a 29ft box camper that weighs in around 7k loaded and have towed all throughout WV with 3.21 gears with no issues.
So far we are really enjoying our Coachmen as well. Previously we had a Roo 233s that we loved as well.
Only reasons we got rid of it was that we took some trips early and late in the year and wanted something more enclosed. Also takes less maintenance as far as cleaning the tent ends etc...
Nice setup. We have a 2020 Coachmen Spirit 2963BH that is around 6400 dry with a GVWR of 7600.
Like you we are pretty much at max based upon payload with 3.21 gears. However the truck doesn’t lack any power even pulling the mountains here in WV.
