Crutchfield will throw in harnesses and plastic trim tool for free. Amazon was cheaper tho.

A vote for replacing dash speakers in Alpine 9 speaker system

Vincent gets my extra speaker and DJ, I obsessed about all that. In the end I’d say it’s totally worth it but if for some reason you don’t like it you can put it back to stock in 15 min and sell the speakers and be out maybe $50....

Another vote for the Flowmaster FX muffler

On the highway with mds there is absolutely no drone. It’s almost no diff than stock on the highway, until you hit a little hill and it downshifts and you get the nicest subtle rumble. Just love it.

Another vote for the Flowmaster FX muffler

I’m no lawyer, and I didn’t stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night, but I would say “not a chance”. Had Borla cat back on my Grand Cherokee SRT and when my entire engine grenaded (frozen lifter ground a lobe off camshaft) Jeep replaced the entire short block no questions asked.

Another vote for the Flowmaster FX muffler

Just got my local muffler guy to install my Flowmaster FX "drop in replacement muffler"....literally took him 15 minutes. Thoughts....perfect for what I wanted. A little more rumble on the start up, nice V8 rumble on acceleration, hardly noticeable at highway cruise, and no drone. IMO, it's...

K&N drop in filter... worse MPG

Totally unscientific and lots of variables uncontrolled for, but got 17.2 down to Atlanta and back last weekend. Put K&N drop in filter in on Tues. And just got 17.9 driving down to Kiawah today. And maybe drove a little faster. It’s a new truck (900 miles) so still breaking in, but...

    How's your mileage?

Left Greenville SC with a full tank. Drove 245 miles to Kiawah Island. Had cruise control set at 77mph for 90% of the drive. Took 13.7 gallons when I got here. 17.88 mpg. Using 89 octane ethanol-free, tire pressure 55F/48R and I have a tonneau cover which maybe helps some.

    How's your mileage?

A couple more comments on this....was running 58 front 50 rear in my tires and also 93 octane ethanol free.....wonder if some of you getting worse mileage are running 87 octane with ethanol....
