Nice truck. Ford definitely found a better solution than the POS etorque. You get basically nothing from the etorque except increased complexity. At least the ford actually has useable power from the in driveline motor.

Google ram engineer describes etorque features. One of the odd features is that it will speed up the cooling fan when it has nothing else to do. Typically on the highway or long stretches of back roads? I do not believe he mentions if there is a temperature related reason so I was just asking...

Thanks for posting the obvious. Squat design is still the same, it is the reason the truck has a rake built into it. Doesn’t matter if it’s leafs, coils or water balloons the rake was built in to be able to use the truck for its designed purpose.

But most of the folks who level don’t do that. I don’t recall anyone lately asking about airbags for their leveling kit, they just want the leveling kit.

Yeah I know. I can see it for a sedan but nothing looks more ridiculous than a truck or wrangler with droopy drawers as soon as you put some weight in the back. Or hitch up to a trailer.

The squat is designed in and you should be level at max payload or max hitch weight, not already starting from a deficit. At least that’s my experience with leaf springs. If I load mine and it becomes level or less it’s time for air bags or stiffer springs.

Or don’t put a silly leveling kit on a truck.

Have you tried researching on some of the overlanding sites? Most of them have lithium house banks with dedicated chargers, mostly solar but some tied into the main for charging. Some do have lithium mains but I never read much into that as I just assumed it would be a problem I didn’t want to...

Yeah, mine is hand calculated also. That is all I post about. My lie o meter is pretty consistent at 1 mpg better so it’s a fairly good indicator what to expect at the pump.

Of course towing heavy is crap on any gas motor. I consider my 5.7 mileage not towing to be crap.

My point is I am getting ridiculously bad mpg with mine, way below average for a 5.7 etorque. Just randomly saying the 6.4 will get worse mpg than my situation doesn’t hold true when most folks are reporting as good or better mpg in there 2500s unloaded. Maybe for folks who get somewhere close...

I am getting 14.3 in suburban driving on my 2022 rebel 5.7 etorque 3.92s. 16 highway. Ridiculous. I don’t see how the 6.4 could be any worse and if it comes without etorque I would be all in.
