For what it’s worth, my truck didn’t have heated tow mirrors, but when I did the infotainment upgrade, the mirrors they sent had the heat symbol on them, and that feature did in fact work after installing and programming.

Alright, have an issue and just curious to see whether it could be related to my new mirrors...got a check engine light this afternoon. Nothing obvious seems wrong other than that.

Yeah this isn’t vehicle specific...I’ve had this problem on several other cars I’ve owned, it can be solved by pulling the nozzle out just a little bit usually.

Good news! I did another CAN-bus reset, and the OBDGenie still showed a red light after plugging in, but this time the mirrors fold!

Ah gotcha. I didn’t go with the chrome and didn’t have BSM...although I didn’t have heat on my toe mirrors, but that feature is now working on the new ones...so I wonder if BSM would work also...

Where did you get the $1799 price from? My infotainment kit was $1399.

Yeah I sure have. It looks promising at first, with the green and blue lights on, then when the screens flash and reset, the blue light stays on and a red light comes on. Never goes away. There’s also a red light in the top right corner of the inst cluster after this happens.

Well, received the new OBDGenie, and still have the same result. Can’t get the light to turn green, and folding option doesn’t work. This is pretty discouraging since I could’ve bought the mirrors for much cheaper as well as the associated modules etc.

I agree. Infotainment has already shipped out a replacement OBDGenie, so hopefully it’ll be good to go with that one. As a side bonus though, an unexpected feature does work.
