    Do you use 4WD Auto?

Same as the common answer, in rain and snow. Additional rain consideration in east Tennessee is trees filled with aphids dropping "honeydew." Just the slightest rain can turn it slick as ice, same problem as a light rain starts to evaporate. A good heavy rain washes it away greatly improving wet...

    Problem Shipping parts internationally ?

That is on imports to the US. This frame would be an export to Australia, no US tax. Australia does have its own import duties. GST, and fees. Not sure where used auto parts would fit in the fee structure. Then also currency conversion costs. But for sure, US tariffs have no impact on an export.

E TORQUE was a big mistake.

The entire package still beats the 10mpg I got from '70s vehicles. The only thing which made those affordable in the '90s was I could buy one and recondition it for another 100,000 miles of use for a few thousand dollars. The savings over a modern car (of the time) bought a lot of gas. Over the...

2019 Ram 1500 hvac valve core leak, well maybe not.

Might have been better to say "on average" and for routine jobs. Anything custom really should be dome as T&M. Got a buddy who works as a professional mechanic. The bane of his work day is brake jobs or suspension work on rust buckets. Stuff just breaks on disassembly and getting back to...

E TORQUE was a big mistake.

I like the system. Most owners do not have a problem with it, ever. Barring problems, I may still get out of mine about a year before the warranty expires. It really is a nice truck though.

2019 Ram 1500 hvac valve core leak, well maybe not.

Could be a flaky blend door, could also be refrigerant level is on the edge. As I recall, the sensor is on the low-pressure side. When the AC is shut off, high pressure moves slowly to low pressure; then the system will work again, but only for a while. While the low-pressure line should get...

Hello, need some HELP over hear in Europe with my RAM

Another stethoscope option is a few feet of fuel line, a stick, and some tape. Loose end of the hose goes in an ear, the stick can probe for sounds. Watch out for and don't stick it into spinny bits. Also handy for balancing dual Stromberg downdraft carbs on an MG engine (this is how I learned...

Hello, need some HELP over hear in Europe with my RAM

Replied to your PM with screen shots. There were 4 recalls on your truck, all were completed.

What did you do to your Ram today???

I would like those if I did not have wet summers and snowy winters. If I did not have risk of rot and stink from rot, would really like those.

That '74 should not be in the garage, it should be out in the elements enhancing that natural patina. But looking at the neighborhood, you might have an HOA with a differing opinion.

    Etorque or battery issue

Maybe a loose ground or power lead at a power distribution (fuse) box. A good wiggle of both ends of the main power and ground cables might find the problem pretty quick. The lowest voltage I ever expect to see on the dash is 13.2V. This would be with a good battery at near full charge after...

    Driving with tailgate down?

I'll have to remember to try this and see.

Hello, need some HELP over hear in Europe with my RAM

There is a recall to update the ABS software on certain Ram trucks. No idea if this is related to your question or if your truck is affected. Another recall requires replacing the HCU. Get your VIN and see if your vehicle is impacted by a brake recall...

Why does full volume show the number 38?

Each "click" of the knob is a noticeable but not too big change in volume, yet not too many clicks from silent to max. Back when I learned electronics the first time, this was easily managed in the analog domain. Today, the tech is all digitally encoded. If I were the engineer for the project...

What did you do to your Ram today???

That would be nice. I've been doing OK since I grew up a bit.

Why does full volume show the number 38?

Stellantis found 31 (32 levels, as 0-31) was too granular, steps for volume change were too big. The next digital choice (adding one more "bit" in base 2) is 63 (0-64) and this was too many levels. Users could not tell a difference between two values, and a control with that fine a resolution...

Recent change for which POTUS gets credit is requiring CDL holders to read English.

Should I make the jump to 6” lift

Nothing inherently wrong with a Mall Crawler. My Rebel will likely never see anything more challenging than a gravel driveway. It is not lifted, just recognizing many do not use the vehicle for what is was designed (or redesigned) for.

What is the main reason for the sluggish feel?

The Rebel package includes plenty of axle gearing.
