Today I took two vibration measurements on my phone.
The first is taken over an 18 second period:
You can see that the analysis shows a vibration of 15Hz.
When you take the calculation of my tire size and calculate it out ( https://blog.mide.com/calculating-tire-speed-from-vibration ), a...
This was my 6th documented visit to a dealer. On visit 5 they replaced all 4 tires with Michelin Defenders. Significant vibration still in the 70-90 mph range. Also shakes the wheel when coming off the highway. Not RPM or MDS related.
I documented the vibration coming off the highway (no...
Brought my truck in again today. The last few weeks the vibration returned. During a hot day (like yesterday) the vibration gets worse and worse over 70. Once I get off the highway the steering wheel wobbles back and forth down to about 40 mph (without brake application).
I get some vibration on really.cold.mornjngs but it seems to go away once warmed up.
Slight vibration at 80+ but not as bad as it was.

Of course I think I went through alot of trouble to finally get resolution. I also tried to be patient and understanding with the writers and...
Update: After 5 visits my dealer has put Michelin Defenders on the vehicle. During the install, another rim was discovered to be out of spec. It will be here later this week.
I had to have the truck this week so I took it with 3 new Michelin's and one Goodyear with a bad rim and no TPMS...
It's too bad. Check out this article. I wish it worked like it's shown here: https://techcrunch.com/2018/05/09/google-previews-whats-next-for-android-auto/
There are TSB's to smooth out transmission shifting issues. I had it done to mine and it resolved my hard and unwanted shifts. Bring your truck to the dealer and have them investigate.
Update: Dealer called and said they found another rim with a defect when doing a final inspection. Replacement will arrive Monday/Tuesday.
Does anyone know who manufactures rims for FCA? Is it in house or contracted?
