There is absolutely no reason that they can't put one of those powerful fans in front of the radiator and do the run hot. If the truck overheats it will shut down. This isn't a 90's vehicle. But then they wouldn't be able to sell any intakes because Hoursepower and Torque numbers will be lower.
Not to mention they do it all with the hood up blowing cold air directly into the engine bay. Someone should line some rams up with hot motors and see which one is faster. My money is on the factory intake that's not sucking hot air into the engine.
I too think the gas milage sucks. but on the other hand, you would have to modify the 5.7 hemi to get the same power these engines are putting out. After you modify the hemi, you'll be getting between 11-15 mpg average. I had a 2009 challenger with Arington heads, cam and 90mm throttle body. I...
I had a 2012 quad cab Ram 1500 with the 5.7 Hemi. My 2025 Ram rebel with the 3.0 sst S/O engine would easily smoke it!! No contest. On top of that, its nicer in every way besides the exhaust note. I would have preferred a nice TRX. But I'm not a rich man. 😆😆
