Anyone have an oem truck ?

Mine is all stock. I’m happy with it stock too. The only thing I plan to add is a tonneau cover at some point. I have a weather guard toolbox from my last truck that I never installed - not sure I’ll put it on the new one though. I’ve had one issue with the stock Bridgestone tires and if...

    Clunk over bumps

They didn’t really say what was defective. They further tightened the old ones but that didn’t work on their road test. They had new links in stock and after replacing the old links, the clunk went away. If I had to guess, there may have been some issue with how the old ones fit - maybe there...

    Clunk over bumps

Here are a few snaps from each side of the front. I can’t really see the difference between the newer, good links and what was there though. However, I have no more clunking sound.

    Clunk over bumps

Sure thing. I’ll snap some when I get some daylight and better than the current weather.

    Clunk over bumps

"See" What the Alpine System Sounds Like

This is great. It’s not my aging ears that think the top end is lacking in this system. Every time I listen, I wonder where the top octave went.

Surround sound on Uconnect 8.4 2019 1500 Laramie

The sound could be piped to your Uconnect but the video portion would remain on your phone screen only. As far as surround sound, I have no idea if the iPhone is sending more than 2 channels to Uconnect for multichannel movie soundtracks. If I wasn’t lazy, I’d probably experiment with that.

Surround sound on Uconnect 8.4 2019 1500 Laramie

The overwhelming majority of music is mixed for stereo and not surround sound. For the listening you’d likely do in the truck, you just have left and right channels. I honestly have no idea why surround sound is even an option. It’s really best suited for movies or other media types that are...

    Apple Music/Bluetooth

For me, I’ve found pocket lint in the iPhone’s lightning port to be a problem. Gently clearing it with a toothpick has worked.
