Just be smart about things and you will be just fine. I have put my truck through a lot of tests and have never been let down by it. I am a truck driver and heavy equipment operator and understand what things weigh and have things loaded safely. This is with just the coil spring on an off-road...
Not a problem. I wasn’t patient enough to get the 6112 and the 5160. But am still happy with the 5100. I liked them so much I just bought a set for my yj. And it’s really simple to do. I am going to put bags in the rear to help when pulling my camper to keep it level.
My truck sits a little over 3” over a base model 4x4 truck when I first installed them do not remember the measurements between the 2 anymore. On the 5th clip it is 2 inches of lift then you have the 1 inch taller spring from factory making it a total of 3 inches
No bilstein has put a lot of research into these and they say that you do not need aftermarket ucas even at there maximum recommended height settings. I just got them because I am harder on things and wanted to try and get a little more travel out of my front end.
With the 1 inch factory lift on the off road package plus the 2 inches with the 5100’s gets it to be 3 inches over a standard ram 1500. I have checked this with a base model ram.
Really cool to actually see these on a truck I was looking at these or the d6. Do they offer enough of a step or do you wish they had a little more to step on? What is the actual width of the step?
I was wondering if you could give a review so far on your experience with the Yokohama Geolandar. Like it’s on road and off road performance, noise, and are you happy with the size and any clearance issues. I am looking for a tire of the same size and are curious about these.
Those are the exact that I used and I went with the rough country forged uca. I do have a thread about this exact set up that I just updated with my thoughts and pictures on this set up.
I fell you there I couldn’t justify it and took a shot at these and love it. And also one thing I really like is the cap that comes with it to cover the grease fitting on top of the uca is a tight fit and keeps dust out and from building up on the inside.
Truck sits perfectly level and love it wouldn’t want it any other way. But I did set it on the 5th setting with the intention of doing the vice design hidden winch so I will get a little bit of rake back.
