What tires are you running with 22” wheels

285/55R22 Amp Pro All terrain. Winter and wet traction are great. Good manners on highway with a smooth ride. A little noise, but I believe it’s more to do with the LT rating over the tread. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

What tires are you running with 22” wheels

Are you staying the same size or going bigger? As soon as you go over 285/45r22, all brands are LT load E. I went bigger due to 3.92 gearing and am happy with the look and ride. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Anyone Running 295/50R22? Do They Fit 9" Rim?

Pros, the stance and it still works like a truck. Cons, none yet. Did the same thing to my 2014 Limited. Will do it again. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Anyone Running 295/50R22? Do They Fit 9" Rim?

Just front links and I did not go all the way level , so it still has a little rake to it. Thank you for the compliments. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

2021 Ecodiesel - 4" Lift with new Wheels - Gas Mileage Issues

What gear ratio do you have? 3:21 gears on stock tires should have resulted in 27-29 mpg. Going up to a 34.3” tire from 31.9” is big on 3:21 gears pulling the rpm way down. 3:92 gears would be a bit better on the mpg loss, but still a couple points down. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Ongoing abnormal treadwear issue?

Tire shops will tell you not to do this, but I have owned multiple rams and had the same success on each. If I run at door sticker tire pressure(36psi), I have cupping and bad wear on the outer rows of treads within 3k miles. I have ran Goodyear, Cooper and Bridgestone tires. All have the same...

Still learing the 5th gen. Please help.

May have missed it in the conversation, but what motor? Gas or diesel? Diesels had an issue with the egr cooler that created what you are looking at. Maybe covered under the recall. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Anyone Running 295/50R22? Do They Fit 9" Rim?

My 23 Limited had 295/50r22 Nitto RG on it when I picked it up. Obviously wider than stock, but they fit and no evidence of trimming. Actually has the RAM splash guards front and rear. I went to the 285/55r22 to go back to stock width, but this adds 1.3-1.5in OD to the tire. Yes they fit, look...

285/45/22 (oem) vs 275/50/22 on 22 stock rims, Limited

I can attest an EcoDiesel with a stock wheel/tire combo and 3:21 gears will consistently generate 28+mpg over 700miles (long haul tank). This EcoDiesel has 3:92 gearing and with the 34.3” tire combo, so far, will generate 24-26mpg combined highway/city driving. Current tank of fuel is at 22.5mpg...

Calling all EcoDiesel drivers with 3.92 gears

Yes, sets right at that RPM. Holds 8th gear pulling most little hills when using adaptive cruise. Used to chase itself all over with the last set up. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

285/45/22 (oem) vs 275/50/22 on 22 stock rims, Limited

Correction, I made a typo. The size is 285/55r22 and no rubbing or trimming to the liners. I do have to say, my truck,by vin, does not have ORG, but I feel it sets higher than stock. For reference, I measure 39” to front flare and 40” to rear in normal ride height. Sent from my iPhone using...

285/45/22 (oem) vs 275/50/22 on 22 stock rims, Limited

295/55r22Amp Pro Terrain. I chose them due to them being 6+pounds lighter per tire than others that size, and they are not mid terrains. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Calling all EcoDiesel drivers with 3.92 gears

I went with the 285/55r22 Amp Terrain Pros. I like we’re it put the RPM’s when going down the highway. Love the way it looks! And no rubbing or trimming needed. What do you think? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

285/45/22 (oem) vs 275/50/22 on 22 stock rims, Limited

The .5” narrower will likely look odd on the stock rim. Depending on gearing, the bigger tire will have some effect on mpg. I chose to stay with the stock 285 although I went taller as I have 3.92 gears. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Calling all EcoDiesel drivers with 3.92 gears

Thank you and agreed the rolling resistance of the LT tire from the P- metric tire will take some out of the calculation. Your set up is the detail I was wanting to confirm. The tire I am looking at is 5 lbs each lighter than the existing Nitto and back to stock width. Per the GDE curve, stock...

Calling all EcoDiesel drivers with 3.92 gears

This topic may be on here somewhere, but all I can find are conversations with Hemi set ups. I have a 23 Limited Night EcoDiesel with 3.92 gears. Picked it up used with oversized Nitto Ridge Grapplers, so never saw how it handled with stock P-metric 22in tires. I have corrected the tire size...

    Rear end noise

Is the whine/humming only present at a certain speed range? i.e. 30-45 and not at 50-65 and under load? It goes away when you let off the gas? If so, they have your gear mesh wrong. A tech experienced with axle building will adjust this so gear noise is at a speed that not normally driven...
