I used JSCAN, OBD Link MX+ OBD2, Exctool 12+8 Pin Security Bypass, links below. I think there are cheaper options but that's what I went with.
OBD
Security Bypass
I still haven't gotten around to messing with the connectors but passive entry still working.
huh, okay I definitely missed that step, thought it was specific to the HD. also didnt see this in the video from Info but maybe they used different clips.
Thanks for this, I'll go back and try that this weekend!
ETA - tried this and it didn't change how far the connectors went in. I tried...
sounds like you keep busy! haha, but as you said comes with the territory when you have fun cars and trucks particularly if you're going off road. Can't take em with you as they say so may as well use them while you can. It's worth it!
That's how you know this guy off roads, didn't even wash that puppy first!
I kid, looks way better than it did. I did a little slow parking lot curb job on a Scat Pack Widebody I had, turned too tight. Man it made me so mad, car only had like 2k miles. I found a legit wheel repair guy...
If you meant me....
I'm no mechanic by any stretch and it's not hard. It's the usual little things that are tough like fishing wires through those really tight boots between the door and cab, working in tight spaces, making sure you have the right tools (a long T25 to get the door handle off)...
this is the part in the door, not under the car. Tee ones under the truck for the rear fascia DID snap in.
Don't think I can see the pins on the other side, at least without removing the other plugs.
AND now I need to order new male pins, damaged one of them try to get it through the boot...
I did msg Jimmy to ask but thought I'd ask here as well. Doing passenger side first...do these look properly seated? There wasn't really a big "snap" into place.
I'll check it closer if I ever get my garage back from the missus! It would fit but I do have a slight grade and bump getting into the garage as my house is on a slab. A little air out of the tire would definitely do it in a pinch. My last truck, 2018 Laramie w/ Rambox did fit but I had to...
Baaaarely. The antenna seems to just clear but man it's close. Honestly, I haven't even fully pulled it in to test Ever since I got rid of my 3rd 'fun' car and got my wife a new car, she gets the garage.
3.5" Readylift with 35x11.5x20 on stock wheels. Very pleased with it so far. The Readylift actually reduced the body roll a little bit which is nice.
I like this set up and was happy to save a little money on wheels.
Today was OEM rear fender wells. Hope to have my door handles soon to install passive entry (REALLY looking forward to that one). After that, bed cover and bed extender, then LED headlights.
Yesterday was a good day. Installed bed step, K&N intake, and OEM front tow hook kit.
All easy to do, but man some of those bolts are torqued like WTF. I did remove the air damn to get to the bolts for the tow hooks, made it much easier.
