Mixed bag. I did not like the ride at first. But…performance has been great off-road. A few hundred miles of Mojave desert tamed it well, and I’m happy as heck. If you don’t plan to work the heck out of the setup, I’d probably save up for the Carli solution. Expensive as heck, but I’ve...
3.92 gears. 3 inches up front, 1.5 in rear.
Tires are 35x12.5. If I had to do it over, I’d go with a slightly narrower metric size for weight savings and clearance issues.
I got the Body Armor Ambush model. Bolted up nice, and looks good. Installing and wiring up some amber fogs tomorrow in the outboard spots. Center light bar goes in next weekend.
I have searched using all key phrases I can think of, and yet still haven’t found the exact answer I am looking for. Short version, installed Body Armor Ambush bumper this weekend. Love it, BTW. Plan is to put a 30” led bar in center section (currently mesh). That part is easy thanks to all...
Let me know what rears you go with. Very curious.
I am installing my aftermarket front bumper tomorrow. Will let you know what added weight in the nose does to the ride.
This.
Would add a cheap dead blow hammer for the heck of it, along with some WD 40. Open to other ideas in case I am missing something. We are all here to learn.
Not yet. The backyard engineer in me says it might help. But I have one more modification I am making that will affect the weight of the truck....new off road steel bumper in front. I would expect the increased front end weight will have some effect. Plan to install it next week, and see if...
I use the Andersen on a 15’ trailer with about 350-400 lbs tongue weight. Love it. Less than an inch of squat, and absolutely no sway issues. It’s the ideal set up for my situation.
Let's figure this out. I went from stock 275s up to 35s. I think the mass and weight increase on the rubber is going to cause some of this. Also, found that the guys that mounted the tires inflated them to 42. I dropped it down to 35 PSI based on this calculator...
I just don't have a reference point. I expected to lose the factory ride quality on road...but not sure if the results are typical of a 3 inch lift on this particular vehicle.
