    Price negotiated from MSRP

That makes sense. I wasn't interested in buying used when I could get a new Ram Bighorn at just over 30k.

I don't really see how it kills resale value. I've seen a few say that already. I bought my 2005 F-150 on the ford family pricing event. There was no way I could get a deal like that other than that event and I was able to trade that truck in 7 yrs later for 4k less than my purchase price...

Looks like mine except I got the Off Road-Group and nonLED.

Finally bit the bullet and joined the Ram club. Just brought home my Bighorn Level 2 with Off-Road Group. Love the truck. Worked on the dealer from every angle for 3 weeks. Almost bought one in NH but got jerked around on my trade. Sold my old Silverado that was my trade and pulled the trigger...

So basically I get to deduct the trade value from the purchase price of the Ram when I get back to Maine and register it. If I read that correctly.

Hadn't thought of the sales tax advantage. This is a NH dealer so the only advantage would be for them. They get my trade without sales tax and I pay tax for the Ram when I get back to Maine.

The biggest advantage is that this dealer is 2.5 hrs away. I'd rather them take my truck and then drive home the Ram.

I think the reason they haven't come down more on the dealer discount is because of my older trade and their isn't a lot of value there. It's in great shape for the age but it's more risky for them than a newer truck. I could probably get a deeper discount if I didn't trade and sold my truck...

My last deal fell through so I'm looking at a level 1 Big Horn with Off-Road package MSRP $48,305 - Dealer Discount $3,245 and 20% manufacture rebate of $9,661. Final sales price of $35,399. They said its the best they could do without seeing my trade. This puts me at 26.7% off MSRP there is...

Looks like I might have found my next truck. MSRP $48,305 - Sale Price $35,863. The dealer also gave me a better trade offer on my 2005 Z71. I'm close to my goal of $30k.

Moose is my favorite so far. Took me 7 yrs to draw a tag. Hopefully the RAM gets to head North and do some moose duty before it's rusted out.

Ouch. Just because the final price is reasonable I still have to pay a luxury/excise tax on the MSRP every year for registration. That truck would be $1600 this year and $1400 next year.

What do you think that is in the back? A lot of groceries. Came home with 460lbs of meat. So delicious too.

Yep. I certainly wouldn't want to stop production just to get more Off-Road equipped trucks out the door. Seems though that 90% of the 4x4 trucks have basically street tires and sit too low. Granted I don't Off-Road a lot but when I do I certainly don't want to damage my undercarriage or swap...

Looking now at their inventory. Really want a Patriot Blue or Billet Silver with the Off-Road package. Has to be a Crew Cab. Chrome bumpers. The rest is Gravy.
