I’m attempting the same thing. I bought that bypass harness so I didn’t have to tap into my factory wires. The amp I installed is turning on and everything. Speakers are working. But I’m getting a buzzing sound through all the speakers. I can’t figure out why this is happening.
That’s nuts. But like I said. No stock amp. Only put in all new kicker speakers. 4 6x9s and 2 3.5s. Just that alone was an upgrade. I finally have real bass. I’m going to try the amp probably next week and hook it to the 6x9s to see if I’m am happy with the bass from then. If not...
Been thinking about going a small leveling kit in my Ram Rebel. I know they come stock with a lift in them. But has anyone put a leveling kit in their Rebels? If so. What sizes and brand? Did you replace the control arms as well? Was it worth it? I’m honestly only doing it for the looks...
Any upgrade is better than stock. I just upgraded all 6 of my speakers to Kicker DS and without an amp they sound soooo much better and have more bass. Just ordered a wiring kit for an amp just to see how much an amp powering these speakers could push them even harder.
I have the same problem with my 2021 Rebel. It’s super annoying. All I do is pull the gas pump nozzle out about an inch after I put it all the way in (I know I know. I know. Sounds bad). That almost always does the trick and never clicks off.
I live in Mass and I had the Falkons on my last Ram. I loooooved them. Look aggressive with no humming on the pavement. Plowed through all the snow perfectly fine.
I have the Camco Eaz-Lift distribution hitch. I bought the bigger one just to be safe. I have no issues with the hitch. My camper is a 30 foot at 6,200 pounds. Rebels are only rated for air 7,200 pounds. So I’m pushing my limits. I did buy Sumo springs to help with the bounce and sway when...
I have a 21 Rebel and I tow a 6500 pound camper. The sag isn’t ridiculous. But it did bounce a lot going over the bridges on the highway. I recently installed SumoSprings. They work. They eat up every bounce you would get while towing. Unfortunately it stiffens up the ride big time when not...
Exactly what mine did for about 15,000 miles. It no longer does it. Brought it to the shop two times and both times they said that can’t find the problem
Yes. I will say. They are great while towing. But having them on every single day with no load. It’s really bumpy. Even worse when it’s cold out. I don’t fully regret getting sumos because I do like them when towing. But I should have went with the Timbren brand that is pretty much plug and...
Did you end up figuring this out? I am about to do the same. But I also want to install an amp to actually power all the new speakers to their full potential. I’ve also been looking for someone who tapped into this harness to add a line out and how they did it.
