Well its moot now... the shop on the sly dropped a used standard 9.25 axle onto my truck... i geuss they figured i wouldnt notice and were sick of trying to find parts to rebuild the diff with...
I was looking at that website earlier... my diff plate isn't there. It looks like the 10.5 with 14 bolts but it lacks the fill plug. Both the fill and drain plugs are on the diff body themselfs like the newer 9.25

At this point its probably one of three reasons:
Blown t case, (no power output at all on either front or rear output)
Front diff cv disconnect lockers are not engaging (front drive shaft is spinning when you try to put power down, but the front wheels are not getting power) i always thought...
