It does work for everyone, including you. It can be finicky if any light gets to it. Take some black tape and completely cover it. I had mine covered for 9 months and I did not notice any other issues I could peg on it. Try it and see for yourself.

I finally fixed the many issues I had with this truck. I sold it and bought a 2024 1500GT. This sun load sensor was the first annoyance. I figured this fix out. The dial absolutely sucks. The 90's camcorder picture quality on the reverse camera was second. No Fix unless you rewire Weak ***...

Did you get a resolution on this or did you give up? I have the same complaint. My 2011 had a much sharper picture..

Sorry. This is late... I did discover a short term fix. Cover the sun load sensor on the dash and the popups will stop.

I did some testing on the lights and it does seem to be independent of the sun sensor or have another input like time. The dash lights do not light up to show headlights on with the sensor covered. Popup is gone and Maybe that is good enough? Does anyone have the tech manual to check the...

Mine seems to put the headlights on when in Drive, not Park with the sensor covered.. I have not fully tested this though. I will test it today and report.

Well the camera was replaced and it is a bit better. No where near typical quality, but acceptable. Still looks like there is a little “noise” on the screen, but I think I will live with it. Any update on the climate pop up?

Mine shows the big white popup in auto and the small orange one in manual.

The said they fixed the camera, but it is exactly the same as before. About 1/2 the resolution of my 2011 Ram. This is the part. It is used on all the units, no matter what trim. It has to be a bad camera or a wiring issue. Please share what you find on the popup and I will continue chasing...

Same Issue here. Super annoying. It draws attention from driving in my opinion. I wonder if there is a way to turn it off?

I have not found a solution, but I am going in next week for the camera. I suspect the rear connection is the culprit based on the picture getting worse when it rains. I will ask about the climate popup as well..

We are talking about exactly the same thing. Randomly as you drive, the climate control showing auto will popup in the bottom left hand corner. I will see if I can get a pic tomorrow to show you. I had a theory it was because of auto adjustments by the system. I mentioned the manual control...

I don't think a picture is required. If you make a selection change using a button or dial, it pops up on the screen. The same happens when you are on auto. A simple programming change would fix this. I have seen it with climate , seat heaters, and carplay makes it lose its mind sometimes.
