You're right. It was introduced on Fords on the Mustang GT350 flat plane crank 5.2L, and then they put it into mass production on the '18 Mustang and '18 F150 5.0L engines. I think they jumped into it too soon. A small production high-performance engine (GT-R, GT350) is one thing, but...- ZeroTX

Sounds like the 18+ Ford 5.0L trucks (and Mustangs) ... drinking oil due to bad cylinder liner "plating" (not using real physical iron liners from 18 and up). It's a disaster. I own a 5.0L and I cannot tell you how thankful I am to have a 2017 and not a 2018+. No brand loyalty here. I'm here...- ZeroTX
