My truck had ~1/2-5/8" left lean when new..depending on full or low gas tank.
I popped out the RR spring and cut exactly one ring off the top in the first week I had it. My OEM coil uses 3/8" thick coils, and sure enough that dropped the left lean down to 1/8-1/4"..again depending on full or...
Maybe keep your rear swaybar endlinks..Thuren uses a pressed in poly ball that is basically open on the ends..have to regularily fkush it was lube to keep clean.
I'm gonna use all their suspensuon parts, but use Cor4x4 or Carli endlinks.
I did hear back from Don today..I'll add his responses at the bottom. The first was the follow up response and the second was a follow up to that..sorry, these are just his responses, so one-sided and may be confusing.
The jist is..Don "could" build me Stage-1 Thuren Kings, but he and I agreed...
I just put on new Fuel 20x9 +1mm with 285/60R20 Bridgestone Dueler AT Ascents about 10 days ago.
I've only gotten about a 100 miles on them so far, but here's what I've noticed....
There is no "road" noise at all..no noise from cracks, tar strips, holes, etc.
The handling and steering are as...
I did air down the Ascents from 39psi to 38psi the other day, and then did about a 20-25 mile trip to town yesterday.
The ride was softer and smoother, and I'd swear a but quieter also, so I'll try a bit more this weekend at 38psi and then try 37psi also, and maybe lower(?).
Carli suggests...
If your Ram was like mine, without OEM flares, you can mount the flares wuth just the fender bolts (10 each flare), or trim the peg off and use thin 3M double stick tape on each..buy a 10 yd roll on Amazon, cut 5" strips, stick on tab then pull back red back to the tab (about 4") and cut off the...
I did hear back from Don..and am waiting to hear back on follow up questions I have....
I asked if the Thuren suspension (CAs, etc) would actually be beneficial for what I'm looking for..I believe they should remove the torsional and stretch feeling from the OEM rubber bushings.
Also, if he...
I spoke with Zeb at Thuren yesterday, and he enlightened me a bit...Thuren's CA joints (F&R) use a metal ball with a special durometer 2-piece Poly cup. That joint has minimal "drag" and moves freely, while the poly keeps NVH close to stock. Their rear swaybar endlinks use Energy Suspension Poly...
I'm strongly leaning towards your advice!
You & others have good data on setting the adjusters..and that helps for sure.
I'm thinking Fox PEs, Thuren F-UCAs, and then Thuren or Core4x4 Rear suspension parts (I like the double JJ ones for unhindered movement).
Do you have double or Poly & JJ...
You are 100% correct on reviews for sure..always take them with a grain of salt!
I looked hard at those Terrain Contact ATs, but they were quite a bit heavier yet..always some trade-offs. My Ascents aren't "quiet" for sure, but they are easily tolerable.
I have an ANC Bypass Harness installed...
I got my first drive yesterday with the new Fuels/Ascents.
I set the Tire OD to 2585mm on AlfaOBD and the Speedo (and Shift Points) is spot-on to the GPS speed on my JBV1 Radar App. ABS Initiliaztion was greyed-out and not an option to reset. No codes, warning lights, or program changes were...
