I've actually been towing my 7500lb 30 foot travel trailer the past few weeks. I strongly agree about the downshifting. It does an amazing job holding speed down hill (6% grade even) and conserves the brakes as much as possible.

Just curious what rear gear you have. I've got the 3.21 and it's hard to miss.

What I'm more concerned about is the clunk that you and anyone in the truck feels on the 3-2 downshift under light deceleration. It happens consistently for me and I know the issue so well, I can avoid it by using more brakes (harder decel) or coasting much further (lightest decel possible)...

The sensors go to "sleep" and "wake up" when they spin. Mine usually are all reading by the time I pull my travel trailer down the aisle at the storage facility (just a few hundred feet). Don't sweat it and next time you drive, I'm sure they'll pop up on the dash.

Thanks, Lee. My main camera works just fine, it's only when the trailer cam is hooked up that it starts erroring and eventually quits working.

I already had a DRVM but switched to a 2 input. I probably don't need 30 full feet but probably at least 25 since I'm running to the rear bumper as shown above.

Update: Ran into some problems. Everything started off well while parked but as soon as I started driving, the feed kept cutting out. I believe the 30ft of rg58 w/fakra thru the cab plus the 40ft or so from the trailer camera kit have resulted in too much signal loss. This seems to be confirmed...
