Pull the whole cluster out from the dash and once removed you'll see small plastic clips around the outside edge of the cluster that go all the way around use a small flat head screw driver and pry outward while pulling out wards on the face of it and it will separate fairly easily.

My 2019 ram 1500 with 12" also only has hi/lo temp control without temp selection after battery unhooked. I've tried the normal reset holding the power and tuner knobs also have tried disconnecting the battery and everything in between with days of waiting in between steps and for some reason...

Ah gotcha and thank you for the reply, it is a pre 2022 so it's uconnect 4 and is all built into the radio.
