You need the wires, DEF tanks have heaters to keep the DEF from freezing. Mopar DEF heaters are weak but keep it liquid especially critical that you don’t split the tank. I leave mine at 50% or so, gives it room to expand.
@TSL something isn’t correct, as part of the HPFP they change the fuel filter, that would mean it’s free… subsequent it’s on you. To me that means a conversation with the service manager and a refund is due.
I’m sorry this happened it sucks!
You do not state your manufacture date versus your delivery date. Very possible your truck has been sitting for six month or a year.
Always check manufacture date and pick the newest build. That insures you get the newest part versions and least impact...
There is an issue with the maps, the update so massive it has to be done manually (it’s free). Once you update the maps, OTA may work again. Unless you complain to dealer that OTA is not working they will not update it. As your warranty burns near end you should make this complaint. Maps...
It’s tricky.. ntfs format the drive.
You have to do the steps, if you don’t it won’t resolve… ****ty that they didn’t update all the software before delivery
They released a version without proper testing. To fix your issues you have to a) upgrade the informant to the newest version (dealer) then down load the new maps on to a very large flash drive, then if the problem persists delete all personal profiles. (It’s all about version compatibility)...
I don’t like to be first, prefer the mechanic perfects the procedure on someone else’s unit. Dealers are overwhelmed and in the are with so many defective GW and W they have no place to put these big trucks. How many miles can one go before this becomes a “real thing” that needs to be done!?
This is because the file is to large for OTA, same with maps if you get to far behind (for whatever reason) it’s a 2GB - 5 part update, the units don’t have ability to decompress and install files of this size. So the dealer does it, not different than a full hard drive in your computer, it...
I’d run from it.. there is a reason they dumped out of that truck. Good trucks stay with owners, carfax lies… need to pull the warranty service records from a dealer (if they will help).. personally it’s a NO way.
Oh, my gosh! - so much BS
1. It’s a recall, it’s covered even if your out of warranty
2. The new pump is not a recall fix it’s just the same pump - they are trying to keep u in the road
3. They are still trying to redesign the pump
It’s not Uconnect it’s guardianxm. Think about it, no software updates and now all the vehicles are having the same reboot symptom. Something is being transmitted to the Uconnect that it doesn’t like causing Tom Tom to reboot.
