Dealer Service - Share your Experience!

Read my previous post regarding this vehicle. I filed a Lemon Law complaint 10-1-19. I was in the shop nearly continuously until 1-23-20 when Stericycle processed the re acquisition. Now this: Got a letter today from FCA. Opened it and it was a limited facsimile of a repair order with...

It is done. See previous post of pictures from last Friday. Met with Jesse from Stericycle as previously arranged. Signed limited POA for title, authority to pay off US Bank, statement of condition of vehicle and mileage statement. Then got my check for equity and equipment, exactly as...

I've been 'in the shop' 16 weeks last Monday. I got a call (voicemail) from Jesse with Stericycle today, he started with "If you are ready to get this over, I can meet you at Texas Dodge, say around noon and we can finalize the re-acquisition. Make sure the vehicle is clean and you have...

I was offered an "in kind replacement" which would have been another hemi quad RWD....from the same dealer. NO. Settlement has already been agreed upon and waiting on FCA to send checks to the bank and Stericycle (3rd party) who provided me with VERY STRICT rules for vehicle condition upon...

Dealer Service - Share your Experience!

Went to dealer to gather my personal belongings from my soon-to-be reacquired Ram. First thing I noticed, the Gator Hybrid bed cover was missing. Someone also removed, the Bedrug. Took pictures both sides, front and rear, found a 'new' door ding in passenger front door and huge scratch on cab...

Dealer Service - Share your Experience!

Update: FCA has handed reacquiring the vehicle off to Stericycle, the third party acquisition agent. They (Stericycle) notified me yesterday of all the 'stipulations' of FCA reaquiring the vehicle and a timeline of 7-14 working days. I responded: "Darcee, First, the vehicle subject to...

The deduct for usage was $868, (5,699 miles) of which 560 were 'unimpaired'. I still have not 'signed the papers', but my note will...

Dealer Service - Share your Experience!

Have been communicating with 'Jan' FCA Reacqusition team. She asked me, by e-mail, if I could 'help her out' with some documentation: Buyer's Order, Finance agreement, Current registration. She then called to clarify. She contacted the dealer 12-19-19 by e-mail and attempted phone...

Just got off the phone with FCA Regional Director of Parts and Service: "I really didn't want to have to make this phone call, but we are proceeding with process on your vehicle under provisions of the Texas Lemon Law."

Dealer Service - Share your Experience!

Yes it does. October 3 I files a claim with Texas Department of Motor Vehicles. October 5 I had a 'telephone interview' to determine basis and validity of case. I had been working on getting a headliner, ANC issue addressed since April. The dealership tried to skirt the issue by not writing...

From October Seems a large number of these trucks do this. It took me six months...SIX MONTHS for my dealer to acknowledge the problem. They even refused to write a service ticket until I could tell them it would do what I was reporting. October 3, 2019 I sent a letter to FCA and TexDot...

    Steering Wheel Leather

My steering wheel being replaced at 8,500 miles because someone scratched it from 700 o'clock on the face, to 900 o'clock on the back across the outer surface, when replacing headliner that was improperly installed in Michigan. Mine's been in the shop all but 10 days since October 14....see...

    Eco Mode Vibration

Mine in shop as I write this. Back in October, finally got it to 'drone' on the service manager's staff, after filing 'Lemon Law' complaint since I've had the truck back to the dealership over 6 times since April. Dealer reflashed ANC and changed the noise from a 300h buzz to a 90-100 hz drone...

    New muffler installed yesterday

I have a B2 Magnaflow on my RAM, tow a 6000 lb trailer, and it doesn't drone, but it leaves no doubt the exhaust is modified pulling a hill or running hard. Won't drown out the radio but sure lets you know you are producing horsepower. Otherwise, nice mellow sound.

Defective Mopar oil filter, lifter noise on startup

Sounds like your solid lifter circa 1968 Z28 302cid Chevy starting...click-clickety-clickety-click...then it stops, but not before the engine gets up to about 1000-1200 rpm...Problem is, wear won't show up until your warranty leaves you. Not nearly as noticeable unless you are in your garage.

Defective Mopar oil filter, lifter noise on startup

I would take offense at imagining this, but my RAM is not the only one I've ever had do this. 1964 Dodge 318 y-block did it. 1962 Ford 352 did it. 1966 Ford 289 did it. 1975 351M and 351W did it. 1979 Pontiac 301 did it....do I need to go on? Whenever one of my vehicles has 'dry lifter'...
