I did this and the digital rearview mirror mods as the same time and it took me about 2 weeks to do it. This was my first-ever car mod project so it probably took me longer than it would have others, and much of the time spent was actually figuring out how to properly remove the door panels...

Should not require recalibration as the calibration is tied to the CVPM. This assumes you're doing a like for like replacement (i.e., non-tow mirrors with non-tow mirrors, etc.)

I also just finished the installation thanks to a last-minute assist from @Jimmy07 Agreed with @knightro84 , to calibrate the front camera you need to drive really, really slowly for it to take. Also I'm pretty sure the environment matters since I failed to calibrate any of the cameras at night...

That would be very helpful! I think letting folks know about how much nuance is involved is very important, such as the different ways to install the cameras (buy new, repurpose used ones, importance of the mounting bracket), differences between trailer and standard mirrors, grill...

Seriously. What ticks me off even more is that the guy who gave me the software on Reddit said that Ram Cares has even told him and several others to stop sharing the firmware...like wtf is wrong with them?

Update: I was able to update to the latest software thanks to someone who had the update file on Reddit. This updated it to the latest version which I believe is 160. For those who want to update theirs I'd recommend getting in touch with [redacted] over there Mod: [PM truckman for contact info]

No reason given other that they couldn't do it. It's mind-bogglingly stupid that they've literally built a workaround for customers who are willing to self-install these updates but won't actually provide them a way to do so. I think I might just rip that whole thing out and replace with a 3rd...

Ah yeah that's right, since I'm getting it shipped it felt like "ordering" something but this makes sense since factory ordering is very different from a dealership purchase.
