Well my first day with Apple and I like it.
Don't get me wrong I didn't go with Apple because of my truck but being on Android sence it's beginning it was time for a change.
Having full screen apps in my truck is awesome! I've only tried apple maps so far and I actually like how it works and...
I've been an Android user from the first android phone... But I honestly haven't been happy with android for a while now... And after seeing a iPhone paired to my truck and carplay filling up my whole screen I'm thinking it's time for a change.
Going to miss that back button though 🤣🤣🤣
The ground because depending on kind of switch you wouldn't want it with power.
Here's my lights and switches.
For the last week of using them every morning at work I've just gotten into the habit of flipping the toggle switch to turn on and off... But if I accidentally leave it on or it...
I have the same problem. 2022 ram 1500 sport.
I took it to the dealership and ya I got the can't replicate the issue.
I'm able to replicate it... from a stop I mildly accelerate then before it shifts into 2nd either lay off the throttle or apply mild brake... And it'll hard shift almost every...
If you use the cargo light as a power source then the cargo switch (on the dash) is the only thing you need... Any other switches become redundant :)
I mentioned the throw because it can be a pain to adjust a small throw switch to open... Small variations can cause it to be closed/on if not...
The only way I know of to power the bed lights are:
Taping into the cargo light
Taping into the trailer constant power circuit.
I don't know and I don't think there is constant power in the taillight circuit... But idk lol
*edit*
Those magnetic switches may work for a while... So if someone...
I've read the whole thread... But admit that I skimmed some of it... And I don't recall seeing anything about powering from the tail light harness.
Those magnetic switches will not work for the load of a circuit...depending on amperage they will melt or stop working after some use... They are...
I read another post recently about doing this and someone suggested this:
DC12V 0-120mins Adjustable Cycle Times Switch Module, Delay On/Off Timer Delay Switch Module https://a.co/d/i8rtX8u
So I bought it, it was 11 cad lol...and it just arrived...
It's about 2 inches by half inch. I'm not...
Wow!!!
You guys are... Really helpful thanks!
I'll give myself and anyone else with the knowledge and tools some advice.
I am by no means an expert! But I do have the tools and supplies: probably 6 different styles of crimpers right up to 000 gauge, 4 different kinds of soldering irons...
I'm confused... Why wouldn't exposing the necessary wires in the harness and taping into them be the best way?
I haven't looked behind my bumper yet but I'd assume doing a proper wire tap is cheaper than a 50 or 100+ dollar harness...
Don't tell me that I'm going to have to get a dreaded apple phone... My buddy has the same truck as me and I was amazed at how apple carplay looked...
So sad we android guys don't get the same thing
