They indeed to have a cover that works with MFT and the factory brackets. I posted a pick of my F1 cover a bit earlier in this thread. No need for aftermarket brackets if you like the BakFlip product.
Condolences on all that my friend. I totally get it. Your experience is testament to why I never buy used, especially now days with all the electronics and tech. One has no idea what these shifty dealers are really selling you on the used lot.
Patient? Not a chance. I checked my order status EVERY friggin' day. Couldn't get here soon enough. Was pretty fortunate to have it delivered in three months. Much better than some of the horror stories I hear about with the other manufacturers now days.
How did you spec your build? Get any kind of a deal on it? Ordered mine last May. Was pretty much stuck paying sticker minus rebate at the time. Could have done worse. The sticker on my truck when it was generated and available online was almost $3K higher than when I priced out my build...
Exact same issue with my truck. Wife thought for sure she was hit in a parking lot this morning when barely moving, coming to a stop. It scared the crap out her her. Have all manners of clunky issues with the drivetrain which is EXTREMELY disappointing. Same issues as I had with my 2015...
I bought my F1 cover a few weeks ago, and installed it this past weekend. The new design they have for the MFT (P/N 772226) which works with the OEM corner brackets, fit perfectly and was a breeze to install. Elevator bolts for the front panel run through an opening in the OEM bracket, and...
Fully aware that RamBox equipped beds do not have corner brackets. I saw one equipped that way (minus the rails) on the lot before I ordered my truck. I didn't choose the RamBox option and when my truck arrived, that was the first I had ever seen or heard of those brackets.
I wasn't aware that the rail kit on RamBox equipped beds are so different from the standard bed. I don't have the RamBoxes, and my black rails are mounted much lower. Per the illustrations in the manual for the MFT F1 cover for standard beds, there should be quite an amount of clearance...
Which covers are you referring to? The BakFlips that are made to work with MFT also work with the stock corner brackets. I was told there wasn't any fitment issue with this new top. Will know for sure once it arrives.
No Ram Boxes on my truck. I would expect there wouldn't be any difference though. Best to just open a chat session with them and get confirmation. They've been a pretty agreeable bunch to work with on chat, pretty helpful. I'll know for sure once the cover arrives and I get it installed.
That's awesome, thanks for sharing the pdf. I was on a half-hour chat session with Bakflip a couple nights ago, and they assured me throughout the conversation that there weren't any fitment issues with the mft, also not with the rails that come with the bed utility group. They didn't provide...
I'm fortunate to be able to work from home, thus my wife uses the truck mostly for running errands. It gets in the high 12's with her heavy foot, to low 15's if one is light on the pedal running around town (I tend to be more chill). I did manage to get a bit over 20mpg on a drive down to...
